Mässen () was built as a hotel, but currently operates as a restaurant. It is located by the European route E18, in Karlskoga, Karlskoga Municipality, Sweden. Mässen was initially intended to exclusively serve the guests of arms manufacturer Bofors. It was built by Per Hultén and designed by Folke Zettervall. It was constructed in the 1900s, and completed in 1906, and officially opened in 1908. Karlskoga () is a locality and the seat of Karlskoga Municipality, Sweden. Located within Örebro County, 45 km (28 mi) west of Örebro, and 10 km (6 mi) north of Degerfors. With a 2020 population of 27,386 distributed over 10.55 square miles (27.33 km2), Karlskoga is the second-largest city in both Örebro County and the historical province of Värmland. Karlskoga straddles the northern shore of Lake Möckeln. Among the city's main topographical features are the two rivers, Timsälven and Svartälven. European route E18 runs from Craigavon in Northern Ireland to Saint Petersburg in Russia, passing through Scotland, England, Norway, Sweden and Finland. It is about in length. Folke Zettervall
Folke Zettervall (21 October 1862 – 12 March 1955) was a Swedish architect and head architect with the Swedish State Railways (''Statens Järnvägar'') between 1895 and 1930. Biography Zettervall was born at Lund, Sweden. He was the son of architect Helgo Zettervall (1831–1907). He started his studies at Katedralskolan (''Högre Allmänna Läroverket'') in Uppsala and continued in Copenhagen at Copenhagen Technical College (''Københavns Tekniske Skole''). He continued his education in architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (''Kunst-Akademiets Arkitekturskole'') from 1885 to 1888. The name has been associated with the iron industry and artillery manufacturing for more than 350 years.
