Edward Frederick Mylius (4 July 1878 – 24 January 1947) was a Belgian-born journalist jailed in England in 1911 for criminal libel after publishing a report that King George V of the United Kingdom was a bigamy, bigamist. Early life Mylius was born in Belgium in 1878; his father was born in England, his mother in Italy. By 1891, Mylius was living with a sister in Hammersmith, West London, at the home of an uncle. Between 1895 and 1901, he worked as a clerk. By 1909, he was known to police for attending anarchist and socialist meetings. That year, he visited France, where he met Edward Holton James, an American-born socialist living in Paris. Johan Caspar Mylius (22 October 1776 – 15 September 1852) was a Danish military officer and landowner. He was appointed as chamberlain in 1840 and ennobled under the name de Mylius on 14 October 1840. Early life Mylius was born in Odense, the son of Johann Jacob Mylius (6 April 1727 - 24 August 1803) and Ulrica Catharina Rasch (14 February 1748 - 7 aug. 1831). Career Mylius was created a first lieutenant in 1801. Johann Daniel Mylius
Johann Daniel Mylius (c. 15831642) was a composer for the lute, and writer on alchemy. Born at Wetter in present-day Hesse, Germany, he went on to study theology and medicine at the University of Marburg. He was the brother-in-law and pupil of Johann Hartmann (1568–1613). In 1616, while still a medical student, Mylius published Duncan Burnet's ''Iatrochymicus''. The ', Mylius' own alchemical work, was published two years later. Jørgen de Mylius (born 5 March 1946) is a Danish radio and TV personality that is best known for his work in connection with the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix as a host and commentator. Sometimes he is referred to as Jørgen Mylius or by his nickname Mylle. Klaus Albert Robert Curt Mylius (born 24 August 1930 in Berlin) is a German indologist. He was Professor of Sanskrit Studies and Indian Archaeology at the University of Leipzig until 1990, after which he was a lecturer at the universities of Bayreuth and Frankfurt am Main. Life As a child in Berlin, Klaus Mylius experienced the Allied bombing raids that caused his Mylius family to lose their home three times. In 1945, the year of the war, he was evacuated to Siegersleben (Magdeburger Börde). He then worked as a farm labourer and newspaper carrier until 1948. Ludvig Mylius-Erichsen (15 January 1872 – 25 November 1907) was a Danish author, ethnologist, and explorer, from Ringkøbing. He was most notably an explorer of Greenland. Literary expedition With Count Harald Moltke and Knud Rasmussen Mylius-Erichsen formed the Danish Literary Expedition (1902–04) to West Greenland, and, in the early stages (1902), discovered, near Evighedsfjord, two ice-free mountain ranges. The party later proceeded to Cape York and lived for 10 months in native fashion with the Eskimo. Mylius Aircraft
The Mylius family of aircraft were derived from the barn-built MHK-101 design, which later was adopted by Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm, MBB and became the MBB Bo 206, Bölkow Bo 209 Monsun project. The Bo-209 was a full metal, low wing basic trainer with standard aerobatic capabilities (+6/-3.5 g), 150 hp O-320 or 160 hp IO-320 engine. The front wheel was retractable (fixed as an option). Both wings were foldable, thus permitting to trailer the aircraft by a car on its own main wheels, nose wheel retracted and tail forward. The program became very successful. The Bo-209, mainly through its docile and responsive flight characteristics, was very popular among flight instructors all over the world.
