Myles Pillage
Myles Pillage (born 24 January 1998) is a British modern pentathlete. Career He participated at the 2018 World Modern Pentathlon Championships held in Mexico City, winning a team silver medal together with Jamie Cooke and Joe Choong. He finished 34th and the score was enough to secure a silver when combined with the 1st of Cooke and 9th of Choong. In 2019, at the European Championships The European Championships is a multi-sport tournament which brings together the existing European Championships of some of the continent's leading sports every four years. Joe Choong
Joseph Choong (born 23 May 1995) is a British Modern pentathlon, modern pentathlete. He won the gold medal in the event at the 2020 Summer Olympics and the 2022 World Modern Pentathlon Championships, World title in 2022. Early life Choong was born in Orpington, South East London to a Malaysian Chinese father Michael Choong and a British mother Beverley, both doctors. He was privately educated at the independent New Beacon and Whitgift School. He studied at the University of Bath, where he graduated with a degree in mathematics. He also trains at the Pentathlon GB High Performance Centre located at the university. His younger brother Henry Choong, Henry is also a modern pentathlete and competed for Great Britain at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, Great Britain at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics. James Cooke (pentathlete)
James Cooke (born 3 March 1991) is a British modern pentathlete. Cooke is both the 2018 World and 2019 European champion in the individual event, and the 2019 European Champion in the Team event with Tom Toolis and Joe Choong. In 2022 Cooke announced about his retirement as pentathlete and new career as the head coach for Greek modern pentathlon national team. Career Cooke competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, in the men's event, where he finished 14th. At the 2018 World Modern Pentathlon Championships held in Mexico City, Cooke overtook Valentin Prades who had celebrated too early to finish in first place. 2023 European Modern Pentathlon Championships
Five modern pentathlon events at the 2023 European Games were held at the Bronisław Czech Academy of Physical Education in Kraków, Poland , from 25 June to 1 July 2023. Five events were on the program under the new format of modern pentathlon. The seven-day program took place in the following order: Women's Qualification, Men's Qualification, Women's Semi-finals, Men's Semi-finals, Mixed Relay, Women's Final and Men's Final. The new elimination format only qualifies 18 athletes for the individual finals. Olympic Quotas The events are used as a continental qualifying tournament for the 2024 Summer Olympics. The top eight ranked athletes in the men's and women's individual competitions will be allocated a quota place, with a maximum of one quota place per National Olympic Committee per gender.
