My Iron Lung
''My Iron Lung'' is the third EP and fifth single by the English rock band Radiohead, released on 26 September 1994 by Parlophone Records in the UK and by Capitol Records in the US. It was produced by Radiohead, John Leckie and Nigel Godrich. The EP consists of several non-album tracks in addition to "My Iron Lung", which would appear on the band's second album, '' The Bends'', released in 1995. Radiohead wrote "My Iron Lung" in response to the success of their debut single " Creep" (1992). Unsatisfied with the version they had recorded at RAK Studios in London, they used a performance recorded in May 1994 at the London Astoria. ''My Iron Lung'' received positive reviews. Though it only reached number 24 on the UK Singles Chart, sales were better than expected, and suggested that Radiohead had found a loyal fanbase and were not one-hit wonders. ''My Iron Lung'' marked Radiohead's first collaborations with Godrich and the artist Stanley Donwood, who have worked on every Radiohe ...

There are half a dozen clubs and smaller music venues in the adjacent buildings. In 2009 the venue closed, and was demolished as part of the development plans of the Crossrail project. Vox (magazine)
''Vox'' was a British music magazine, first issued in October 1990. It was published by IPC Media, and was later billed as a monthly sister-magazine to IPC's music weekly, the ''NME''. Although ''Vox'' was seen as IPC's response to EMAP's ''Q'' magazine, it was unable to match the circulation figures generated by ''Q'' in the 1990s and was closed in the late 1990s as IPC had launched ''Uncut''. Even though ''Uncut'' was first established as an entertainment magazine targeting men aged 25 to 45 with a mixture of movies and music, it soon moved into the space vacated by ''Vox'' in the magazine marketplace, becoming more of a music magazine aimed at EMAP's rival ''Mojo'' (now published by the Bauer Media Group).
