''My Heart Calls You'' (german: Mein Herz ruft nach dir) is a 1934 German musical film directed by Carmine Gallone and starring Jan Kiepura, Mártha Eggerth and Paul Kemp. Von Dassanowsky p.80 Separate English-language (''My Heart is Calling'') and French-language versions ('' Mon cœur t'appelle'') were made, both also directed by Gallone. Carmine Gallone (10 September 1885 – 11 March 1973) was an early Italian film director, screenwriter, and film producer, who was also controversial for his works of pro-Fascist propaganda and historical revisionism. Considered one of Italian cinema's leading early directors, he directed over 120 films in his fifty-year career between 1913 and 1963. Life and career Carmine Gallone was born as Carmelo Camillo Gallone on 10 September 1885 in Taggia (in the province of Imperia), but grew up in Naples. Franz Sauer
Franz Sauer (11 March 1894 – 28 October 1962) was an Austrian organist and music educator. Life Born in the Bielitz-Bialaer Sprachinsel in Austrian Silesia, Sauer learned music from his father at a very early age. He began with violin and piano and found his way to organ at the age of ten. He continued his education in Ziegenhals at the teacher training seminar and at the Berlin University of the Arts (with Bernhard Heinrich Irrgang) and the church music school in Regensburg. Sauer had his first position as choir director and organist in Kolsko. In 1914 he applied for the position of first Salzburg Cathedral organist. Hilde Von Stolz
Hilde von Stolz (8 July 1903 in Segesvár, Nagy-Küküllő County, Austria-Hungary, now Romania – 16 December 1973 in Berlin) was an Austrian-German actress. Von Stolz attended the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and made her debut at the local Kammerspielen. She subsequently performed at various theaters in Vienna and in the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm in Berlin. She made her debut in film in 1928 under the pseudonym "Helen Steels". That same year, she moved to Berlin. In her second film role, she played the lead role opposite Reinhold Schünzel in '' Don Juan in a Girls' School''. Theo Lingen (; 10 June 1903 – 10 November 1978), born Franz Theodor Schmitz, was a German actor, film director and screenwriter. He appeared in more than 230 films between 1929 and 1978, and directed 21 films between 1936 and 1960. Life and career Lingen was born the son of a lawyer in the city of Hanover, and grew up there. He attended the Royal Goethe Gymnasium – the predecessor of the Goethe School – in Hanover, but left before taking the Abitur (final exams).
