Muñeca (TV Series)
''Muñeca'' (English: ''Doll''), is a Mexican telenovela directed by Fernando Wagner and produced by Manolo García for Televisa in 1973, starring Fanny Cano and Rodolfo Bebán. Plot Daniel, a well-behaved child, is bored by his empty life. He lives with his aunt Amanda and uncle Alejandro since he was orphaned. One day, Alejandro tells Daniel that the inheritance he received from his parents is an area developed into a valuable and bustling city. In that city lives Muñeca, a cute young girl who spends most of her time studying, Rat, who recently got out of jail; and Tobacco Kid, one of Rat's friends. Daniel arrives in the neighborhood wearing his old clothes and meets Muñeca. She thinks that he is one of the city's residents and Daniel played along. Using the name of Ángel he moved to live in the city with the help of Julita his faithful servant. Little by little Muñeca and Daniel fall in love. Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. This makes them shorter than most other television series, but still much longer than a miniseries. Enrique Álvarez Félix (5 April 1934 – 24 May 1996) was a Mexican actor, known for his roles in telenovelas and in films, such as '' The Monastery of the Vultures'' and '' The House of the Pelican''. Family and personal life Enrique Álvarez Félix was the son of Mexican actress María Félix and her first husband, Enrique Álvarez Alatorre. When his parents divorced in 1938, his mother lived for a time at home with her own parents until 1939, when she traveled with Enrique to Mexico City. Soon after, her ex-husband took Álvarez Félix. When his mother married Jorge Negrete he became the stepbrother of Diana Negrete. Wolf Rubinsky
Wolf Ruvinskis (October 31, 1921 – November 9, 1999), born Wolf Ruvinskis Manevics, was a Latvian-Mexican actor and professional wrestler. He was married to dancer Armida Herrera. Born to a Latvian mother and a Ukrainian father, of Jewish background, they relocated to Argentina in 1923. In spite of living in extreme poverty he excelled in sports and as a professional wrestler he toured South America, the United States and Mexico. This last country became his place of residence where he stayed in the ring well into the 1960s, wrestling El Santo, Black Shadow (wrestler), Black Shadow, El Médico Asesino and Lobo Negro. Guillermo Rivas Rowlatt (December 25, 1926 – March 19, 2004) was a Mexican character actor known for portraying "El Borras" in the Telesistema Mexicano sitcom ''Los Beverly de Peralvillo'' (1968–1973). Early life Rivas was born in Mexico City, Mexico, his father was Antonio Ribas Murphy (1901–1945) a Catalan, his mother was Maria Luisa Rowlatt Romana (1910–1983) British descendant. Gustavo Rojo
Gustavo Rojo Pinto (5 September 1923 – 22 April 2017) was a Uruguayan-Mexican actor. Life and career Gustavo Rojo was born on 5 September 1923 on a German ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. His mother was the prominent Spanish author Mercedes Pinto, who emigrated to Uruguay for political reasons. His two older siblings, Pituka de Foronda and Ruben Rojo, also became actors. In the late 1920s, Mercedes wrote a play and Gustavo made his theater debut. Gustavo's screen debut came as a child actor in the 1938 Cuban film ''Ahora seremos felices'', in which his older sister Pituka had a starring role. In the 1940s, the family moved to Mexico, where Rojo worked steadily throughout the 1940s. In 1947, he made his Hollywood debut in the film '' Tarzan and the Mermaids'', which starred Johnny Weissmuller and Brenda Joyce. Rojo was engaged to Austrian actress Erika Remberg in 1958. Abel Santa Cruz
Abel Santa Cruz (1915 – February 4, 1995, in Buenos Aires) was an Argentine screenwriter who is credited for writing nearly 130 films spanning seven decades of Argentine cinema. Santa Cruz first wrote the script for a film, ''Un Señor mucamo'', in 1940 but it was not until ten years later in 1950 that his career had a breakthrough with his adaptation of the 1895 Oscar Wilde play, ''The Importance of Being Earnest'' in '' Al compás de tu mentira''. In 1963 he wrote the script to the gangster comedy ''Alias Flequillo''. The following year he married the 21 year old Silvia Montanari. The marriage lasted a year and Montanari went on to a successful acting career. Although Abel died in 1995 his work includes 10 different TV credits in over a decade since his death.
