Mustapha Khalfi
Mustapha Khalfi (born 1 January 1980) is a Moroccan professional basketball player. He currently plays for the AS Salé club of the FIBA Africa Club Champions Cup and the Nationale 1, Morocco's first division. Biography Born in Derb Sultan ( Casablanca) in 1980, Mustapha started playing basketball in 1990 thanks to his father ''Bouchaïb Khalfi'' who was a former basketball player and a trainer of Raja Casablanca (basketball section), so Mustapha was formed by Raja CA and he joined the first team in 2001. Mustapha Khalfi (nicknamed ''Kachkoucha'' by fans of the club) won with this team several titles at national level and was selected for the first time to the national team in 2002. An excellent playmaker despite his small size, El Khalfi is considered among the legends of Raja CA Basketball who witnessed the club's golden age. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. FIBA AfroBasket 2017 was the 29th edition of the AfroBasket, a men's basketball continental championship of Africa. The tournament was jointly hosted by Tunisia and Senegal. Angola was proposed by FIBA Africa to host the tournament, an offer declined as the country is holding general elections in the same period. Tunisia won their second title after defeating Nigeria 77–65 in the final, while Senegal caught the third place by beating Morocco 73–62. As of 2007, Moroccan society participated in many sports, including handball, football, golf, tennis, basketball, and athletics.
