Mustafa Murrar
Mustafa Murrar (مصطفى مرار) (28 February 1929 – 14 December 2021) was an Israeli Palestinian storyteller and children's author. He published hundreds of stories, essays and children's stories, including 18 short story collections, numerous novels and children's books for a total of 86 books. He also edited 22 books. His stories have been translated into Arabic language, Arabic, English language, English, French language, French, Spanish language, Spanish and German language, German. Early life and education Mustafa Murrar was born and raised in a family of farmers in the Palestinian village of Jaljulia, near the city of Qalqilya, in Mandatory Palestine. He finished his primary studies in the school of Qalqilya due to the lack of a school in his village at the time. Jaljulia
Jaljulia ( ar, جلجولية, he, גַ׳לְג׳וּלְיָה), officially also spelled Jaljulye, is an Arab town in Israel near Kfar Saba. In it had a population of . History In Roman times the village was known as ''Galgulis'', while during the Crusader period it was referred to as ''Jorgilia'' in 1241 C.E. It has been suggested that a Crusader sugar factory was later turned into an Ottoman mosque. In 1265 C.E. (663 H) Sultan Baybars allocated equal shares of the village to three of his amirs. One of these, amir ''Badr al-Din Baktash al-Fakri'', included his section of the village in a waqf he established. Excavations of a building close to the Mamluk khan yielded ceramics dating from that period.
