Sitcom
A sitcom, a portmanteau of situation comedy, or situational comedy, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who mostly carry over from episode to episode. Sitcoms can be contrasted with sketch comedy, where a troupe may use new characters in each sketch, and stand-up comedy, where a comedian tells jokes and stories to an audience. Sitcoms originated in radio, but today are found mostly on television as one of its dominant narrative forms. A situation comedy television program may be recorded in front of a studio audience, depending on the program's production format. The effect of a live studio audience can be imitated or enhanced by the use of a laugh track. Critics disagree over the utility of the term "sitcom" in classifying shows that have come into existence since the turn of the century. Surreal Humour
Surreal humour (also called surreal comedy, absurdist humour, or absurdist comedy) is a form of humour predicated on deliberate violations of causal reasoning, thus producing events and behaviours that are obviously illogical. Portrayals of surreal humour tend to involve bizarre juxtapositions, incongruity, non-sequiturs, irrational or absurd situations, and expressions of nonsense. The movement itself was foreshadowed by English writers in the 19th century, most notably Lewis Carroll and Edward Lear. The humour in surreal comedy arises from a subversion of audience expectations, emphasizing the ridiculousness and unlikeliness of a situation, so that amusement is founded on an unpredictability that is separate from a logical analysis of the s ...

Neox (TV Channel)
Neox (formerly Antena.Neox) is a Spanish television channel run by Atresmedia. History The channel was launched as Antena.Neox in 2005 together with Antena.Nova, this with the aim of strengthening the Antena 3 brand in the recently launched digital terrestrial television in Spain. At first Neox was a channel that mixed children's and youth programming. In 2006 Antena 3 and CBS Corporation signed an agreement to broadcast content produced by CBS, Showtime and UPN, which would be programmed on Antena.Neox, Antena.Nova and Antena 3 until the Showtime and UPN brands were implemented on the Spanish television replacing Neox and Nova, however, the change was not carried out in the end due to the distribution of broadcasting rights with other Spanish channels. However, Antena 3 obtained the rights to broadcast future productions of CBS Corporation. On January 1, 2009 Antena.Neox was renamed as Neox 8 in order to associate the channel with that logical channel number on digital terre ...

Muchachada Nui
''Muchachada Nui'' is a Spanish television comedy show, consisting of unrelated Sketch comedy, sketches that use absurd and surreal humour. It was broadcast on La 2 (Spain), La 2 of Televisión Española. It is the sequel of La hora Chanante, that first aired on Paramount Comedy (Spain). Name Since Paramount Comedy owned the rights of the previous programme, including its name, "La Hora Chanante", a new name was needed. In an 2007 interview, the cast explained that "Muchachada Nui" is a combination of "muchachada", a common word in their manchego vocabulary meaning "a group of lads", and "nui" from "ojete nui", as in "cuando te pica el ojete porque no te has lavado bien" (when your arsehole itches because you haven't washed it well). Cast The same actors that appeared in "La Hora Chanante" appear in "Muchachada Nui". However, their roles are not the same, as a result of the copyright issue. The ones that appear most often are: Julián López, Ernesto Sevilla, Raúl Cimas, C ...

Each episode is a half hour long and consists of a series of unrelated sketches (both acted out and animated) and a story featuring some celebrity which helps keep continuity throughout the program.
