Murtizapur (Vidhan Sabha Constituency)
Murtizapur Assembly constituency is one of the 288 constituencies of Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha and one of the five which are located in the Akola district. It is reserved for a Scheduled Caste candidate. It is a part of the Akola (Lok Sabha constituency) along with five other assembly constituencies, viz Akot, Balapur, Akola West, and Akola East and Risod from the Washim district. Murtijapur is a Municipal council and one of the taluka of district of Akola of Amravati division of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Election
The 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election was held on 21 October 2019 to elect all 288 members of the state's Legislative Assembly. After a 61.4% turnout in the election, the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena (SHS) won a majority.
