Rudolf Muradovich Muradyan (''Armenian: Ռուդոլֆ Մուրադի Մուրադյան; born 19 June 1936,'' Yerevan, Armenian SSR, USSR) is an Armenian theoretical physicist. Rudolf Muradyan's main research relate to theoretical physics, elementary-particle physics, cosmology and the origin of the Universe. Considering the properties of the interaction of elementary particles, he proposed the possibility of large-scale invariance in high-energy physics, from which the "Matveev-Muradyan-Tavkhelidze quark counting rule" is derived especially. He also researched the connection between the appearance of the Universe's rotation and magnetic fields and the cosmological constant. He is the recipient of the 1988 Lenin Prize, along with Albert Tavkhelidze and Viktor Matveev, for the discovery of dimensional quark counting rules. Badal Muradyan
Badal Amayakovich Muradyan (1915–1991) was the Prime Minister of the Armenian SSR (1966–1972). Background Badal Muradyan was born in 1915, in Vardashen village of Armavir marz, Armenia. He attended the Yerevan Polytechnics University and became a chemist. Since around 1956, he worked as the first secretary in the Yerevan city committee of the ACP (Armenian Communist Party). He become the Prime Minister of the Armenian SSR from 1966 to 1972, during Brezhnev's “standstill." He stepped down in 1972 due to the state of his health. Igor Muradyan ( hy, Իգոր Մուրադյան; 29 April 1957 – 17 June 2018) was an Armenian political activist and political scientist. He was one of the earliest leaders of the Karabakh movement, along with Zori Balayan, Silva Kaputikyan and Viktor Hambardzumyan. Born in Odessa, Muradyan grew up in Baku, where many Armenians lived during the Soviet period. He finished the Plekhanov Institute of National Economy in Moscow. According to Thomas de Waal, "Muradian was a Soviet insider. He worked as an economist in the state planning agency Gosplan in Yerevan and had good connections among Party cadres."
