Mumtaz Ahmed Khan is a Member of Telangana Legislative Assembly elected in December 2018 from Charminar constituency. He is the honorable Speaker of Telangana Assembly. He was the five time M.L.A. from Yakutpura constituency in the State of Telangana, India. He also performs the duty of Panel Speaker in Telangana Legislative Assembly. Khan won his sixth consecutive legislative seat from this area of the city of Hyderabad. Mumtaz Khan was representing Yakuthpura Assembly constituency from 1994 to 2018. Telangana Legislative Assembly
The Telangana Legislative Assembly or Telangana Śāsana Sabha is the lower house of the Telangana Legislature. The Legislative Assembly of Telangana currently consists of 119 elected members and 1 nominated member from the Anglo-Indian community. Its chief engineer was Nawab Sarwar Jung. The members of the ''Vidhana Sabha'' are directly elected by people through Universal suffrage, adult franchise. Each List of constituencies of Telangana Legislative Assembly, constituency elects one member of the assembly. Members are popularly known as M.L.A's. Majlis Bachao Tehreek
Majlis Bachao Tehreek (English: Save Majlis Movement) is a muslim political party in the Indian state of Telangana. History Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) was founded by Mohammed Amanullah Khan as a result of differences with AIMIM President Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi. He formed the MBT (Save Majlis Movement) in 1993 after he was suspended for protesting against the stance taken by AIMIM during the demolition of the Babri Masjid. Later, he launched a campaign against the demolition. He raised crucial issues including lack of internal democracy in the AIMIM primarily nepotism, political patronage and corruption. Amanullah Khan initially joined the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen in 1960. He emerged as a leader in the MIM, serving as a MIM floor leader. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan was also a member of MBT until 1999. Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri is current MLA from Yakutpura (Assembly constituency), from AIMIM. Quadri was the trusted mentor and close friend of late Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi.
