Muktijoddha Sangsad KC ( bn, মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সংসদ ক্রীড়া চক্র) is a Bangladeshi professional football club based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The club plays in the Bangladesh Championship League, the second level of Bangladeshi football league system, as they suffered relegation from the Premier League in 2022–23 for the first time since the inception of the Premier League in 2007. History Early years Founded in 1978, by the Muktijoddha Sangsad welfare association, in remembrance of the Freedom Fighters that died in Bangladesh during the 1971 Liberation War. In 1982, during their time in the Dhaka Second Division, Muktijoddha formed a fierce rivalry with BRTC FC. Mamun Joarder ( bn, মামুন জোয়ার্দার; born 1 April 1973), is a retired Bangladeshi footballer who played as a right winger. Mamun played for a total of 7 clubs during his 15 year long career, and he won the Dhaka League title with both Abahani Limited Dhaka and Muktijoddha Sangsad KC. Mamun was also a member of the Bangladesh national football team that won its first international trophy, the Burma Cup in 1995, under coach Otto Pfister. Mohammed Jewel Rana ( bn, মোহাম্মদ জুয়েল রানা; born 2 May 1968) is a retired Bangladeshi professional footballer who played as a centre back. Career Jewel captained the Bangladesh national football team during their 1999 SAF Games triumph. Jewel, began his career in the first division in 1988, he went on to win domestic league titles for Mohammedan SC, Muktijoddha Sangsad KC and Brothers Union. Jewel also played for Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan AC for 2 years. On 24 January 2009, he retired from professional football after captaining Mohammedan SC during the Dhaka Derby. Saiful Bari Titu (Bengali: সাইফুল বারী টিটু) is a Bangladeshi football coach and former football player, who was most recently the head coach of Bangladesh Premier League side Chittagong Abahani.
