Muhammad Tariq Tarar
Muhammad Tariq Tarar (Urdu: ًمحمد طارق تارڑ) (born 13 May 1961) is a Pakistani legislator and a former member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from Constituency NA-108 from 2008 to 2013. He was also a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from August 2018 to January 2023. He is from the village of Raike, Phalia, Mandi Bahauddin District, District Mandi Bahauddin, Punjab, Pakistan, Punjab. Career Tarar participated in all Elections in Pakistan, General Elections from 1990 until 2013. He lost his first 1990 Pakistani general election, General Election in 1990 against Pir Syed Mohammad Yaqoob Shah. In 1993 he was elected as a Member of Provincial Assembly, staying until 1996. 1990 Pakistani General Election
General elections were held in Pakistan on 24 October 1990 to elect the members of the National Assembly. The elections were primarily a contest between the People's Democratic Alliance (PDA, a four party alliance led by the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) of Benazir Bhutto) and the conservative nine-party alliance, Islami Jamhoori Ittehad (IJI) headed by Nawaz Sharif. President Ghulam Ishaq Khan dissolved the National Assembly and dismissed Bhutto's government in August 1990 on charges of corruption and maladministration. However, the PPP was still extremely popular and there was a fear amongst anti-PPP forces that it might be re-elected. Provincial elections were held in the Pakistani province of Punjab on to elect the members of the 17th Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on 25 July 2018, alongside nationwide general elections and three other provincial elections in Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
