Muhammad Halam Eizedyar
Alhaj Mohammad Alam Izedyar was selected to represent Panjshir Province in Afghanistan's Meshrano Jirga, the upper house of its National Legislature, in 2005. He has a B.A. in Political Science. He is the Secretary of the Legislature's International Relations Committee. He is a supporter of Abdullah Abdullah. House Of Elders (Afghanistan)
The House of Elders or Mesherano Jirga (), was the upper house of the bicameral National Assembly of Afghanistan, alongside the lower House of the People (Afghanistan), House of the People (Wolesi Jirga). It was effectively dissolved when the Fall of Kabul (2021), Taliban seized power on 15 August 2021. The Taliban did not include the House of Elders and several other agencies of the former government in its first national budget in May 2022. Government spokesman Innamullah Samangani said that due to the financial crisis, only active agencies were included in the budget, and the excluded ones had been dissolved, but noted they could be brought back "if needed." The House of Elders primarily had an advisory role rather than a maker of law. However, it does have some veto power. The House of Elders has 102 members. Bazarak District
Bazarak District is a district of Panjshir Province, Afghanistan. The population in 2019 was estimated to be 20,892. The district was reportedly the last of the province captured by the Taliban from the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan on 6 September, during the Republican insurgency in Afghanistan. Remaining resistance fighters were pushed into the mountains. On 9 September, however, Ali Maisam Nazary, the Resistance's spokesman and foreign relations head, downplayed the amount of territory the Taliban was reported to have taken control of in Panjshir province, stating that 60% was still under National Resistance Front control. Panjshir Province
Panjshir (Dari: , literally "Five Lions," pronounced /pand͡ʒʃeːɾ/, also spelled as Panjsher) is one of the thirty-four provinces of Afghanistan, located in the northeastern part of the country containing the Panjshir Valley. The province is divided into seven districts and contains 512 villages. The main inhabitants of the province are Tajiks Shamali, who speak Persian language.
