Mufutau Adesanya Kasali MFR is the present Oba Moyegeso of Itele in Ijebu-East, Ogun State, Nigeria. Early life and education Mufutau Adesanya Kasali was born on 13 December 1943. He attended Ijebu Ode Grammar School in Ijebu Ode from 1961 to 1966 for his secondary education. He later proceeded to the University of Lagos where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1972. He is a trained engineer and also a member of Nigerian Society of Engineers. Career He worked as a senior engineer with the old National Electrical Power Authority (NEPA), now Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) until his retirement. Selection and coronation He was unanimously selected from the Ishagbola Ruling House as the Oba Moyegeso of Itele-Elect in 2000. Moyegeso Of Itele
Moyegeso is the Oba ( King) of Itele in Ijebu, Ogun-State, Nigeria. The present Moyegeso of Itele is Oba Mufutau Adesanya Kasali Iboriaran I from the House of Ishagbola. He ascended the throne on March 3, 2003. His predecessor was Oba Jones Adenola Ogunde Adeyoruwa II from the House of Adeyoruwa. He reigned from 1981 to 1996. All those who have reigned as the Moyegeso of Itele were direct descendants of Awujale Oba Moyegeso (1710–1725), - Ojigi Amoyegeso - the 32nd Awujale of Ijebuland. As such, any prince aspiring to become the Moyegeso of Itele must be able to trace his ancestry to Idewon quarters in Ijebu Ode where Awujale Oba Ojigi Amoyegeso hailed from. Jones Adenola Ogunde
Oba Jones Adenola Ogunde JP was born on 23 April 1930 to the family of Prince Jacob Adefuye Ogunde and Alice Tanimowo Ogunde. He attended Saint John's Anglican Primary School, Ijebu-Itele for his elementary studies in the late 1930s. He then proceeded to Ijebu Ode for further studies and apprenticeship. Afterwards, he left Ijebu for Lagos where he established a printing press business. Prior to his appointment as the Moyegeso of Itele, he was a successful businessman owning a printing press company called Nigerian Service Printers in Surulere, Lagos. He had also served as the treasurer on the board of the Itele Community Development Association at a point during his youth days. The Itele community witnessed some development during his reign. University Of Lagos
