Kigamboni District, officially known as The Kigamboni Municipal Council (''Halimashauri ya Manispaa ya Kigamboni'', in Swahili) is one of five districts of the Dar es Salaam Region of Tanzania. The district is bordered to the north by Ilala District, to the east by the Indian Ocean, the west by Temeke District, and to the south by the Mkuranga District of Pwani Region. Swahili Language
Swahili, also known by its local name , is the native language of the Swahili people, who are found primarily in Tanzania, Kenya and Mozambique (along the East African coast and adjacent litoral islands). It is a Bantu language, though Swahili has borrowed a number of words from foreign languages, particularly Arabic, but also words from Portuguese, English and German. Zaramo
The Zaramo people, also referred to as Dzalamo or Saramo, are a Bantu ethnic group native to the central coast of Tanzania, particularly Dar es Salaam Region and Pwani Region. They are the largest ethnic group in and around Dar es Salaam, the former capital of Tanzania and the 7th largest city in Africa.
