Thiago Moyses (born 11 October 1981) is a Brazilian filmmaker and film producer of international prominence. Life, family and education Moyses studied film at University of Brasília. Film career Moyses's first notable film was ''Sindrome de Pinocchio'' which was among other nine movies in Brazil's pre-selection for 2010's Foreign Language Nominee to Academy Awards. This movie was also selected to São Paulo International Film Festival in Brazil and Film B Festival in Santiago, Chile. He also directed the animated short "Kcrisis", introducing a new technique of rotoscoping and animation, achieving outstanding visual combined with an intriguing plot. PhDr. Štefan Moyses (also as ''Štefan Moyzes'', hu, Moyzes István; October 24, 1797 in Veselé (Veszele) – July 5, 1869 in Žiar nad Hronom (Garamszentkereszt)) was a Slovak bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Banská Bystrica, teacher, patriot, co-founder and first chairman of Matica slovenská. Memorial in Veselé Biography Štefan Moyses was ordained a priest in 1821. He served as chaplain in several parishes of the archdiocese of Esztergom, later worked in Croatia. In January 1830 he became professor of Zagreb Academy. In 1847 he was appointed a canon of Zagreb chapter and was elected member of Diet of the Kingdom of Hungary. Moses van Uyttenbroeck, or Moyses van Wtenbrouck () was a Dutch Golden Age painter and etcher. Biography Van Uyttenbroeck was born and died in The Hague. Moyses Hill
Sir Moyses Hill (often written as Sir Moses Hill) was an English army officer who served in Ireland and later settled in Ireland. He was the governor of Olderfleet Castle, mareschal of Carrickfergus, provost mareschal of Ulster, and represented County Antrim in the Irish parliament of 1613. Moyses arrived in Ireland in 1573 as part of the Earl of Essex, Walter Devereux's army to subdue or colonize Ulster. He was appointed the governor of Olderfleet Castle and knighted in 1603. In 1611, he was given possession of the village of Cromlin (now Hillsborough). The position of Provost Mareschal of the Province of Ulster was created for him in 1617. He was granted 2,000 acres in County Antrim and 40,000 acres in County Down for his services to the Crown. He died in February 1629–30. Christopher Raymond Moyses (born 1 November 1965) is an English football coach and former professional player. He is a former manager of Lincoln City and Alfreton Town. As a player, he was a defender from 1982 to 1986 with Lincoln City, Halifax Town, Boston United, Shepshed Dynamo and Grantham. In the 1990–91 season he played for Bourne Town. He has since coached at Lincoln United before managing Lincoln Moorlands Railway. In 2011, he became involved with the youth setup at Lincoln City, also taking on a role as coach of the first team. Playing career Moyses played in the Football League for Lincoln City and Halifax Town, before moving onto the non-league circuit where he appeared for a number of, largely Lincolnshire based, clubs. Lieutenant-General Arthur Moyses William Hill, 2nd Baron Sandys (10 January 1792 – 16 July 1860), styled as Lord Arthur Hill until 1836, was an Anglo-Irish soldier and politician. Background Hill was the second son of Arthur Hill, 2nd Marquess of Downshire, and Mary, daughter and heiress of Colonel the Honourable Martin Sandys, son of Samuel Sandys, 1st Baron Sandys. She was a three time Brazilian Women's Chess Champion (1969, 1970, 1973) and Women's Chess Olympiad individual silver medalist (1974). Moysés Baumstein (June 13, 1931 – December 4, 1991) was a Brazilian artist. Baumstein worked in many fields: from literary creation to painting, from film making to holography. He was driven by singular curiosity and diligence and typified as a "Renaissance Man" joining science with art throughout his accomplishments. Baumstein was born and died in São Paulo. He began his artistic career as a painter influenced by the Spanish painter Joan Ponç, with whom he founded the group “L´Espai” in São Paulo in 1960.
