Mounties FC
Mounties Wanderers FC is a professional soccer club based in Mount Pritchard, New South Wales, Australia. They currently play in the NSW League One (formerly National Premier Leagues NSW 2) competition after being promoted at the conclusion of the 2011 season. They were formed in 1978 as Mount Pritchard Soccer Club, changing their name to Mounties Wanderers for the 2008 season after being sponsored by the Mounties Group. The Mounties group also sponsors the Mount Pritchard Mounties rugby club. The club was originally founded by the Maltese Australian community. Their current Head of Football is Brian 'Bomber' Brown who was appointed in October 2018. Mt. Pritchard Oval is a park in Mount Pritchard, New South Wales. It has a capacity of around 5,000 and is home to the Mount Pritchard Mounties. Blacktown International Sportspark
Blacktown International Sportspark (BISP) (formally known as Blacktown Olympic Park) is a multi-sports venue located in Rooty Hill, a suburb in Sydney, Australia. The venue includes two cricket grounds, which have also been used for Australian rules football, an athletics track and field, three baseball diamonds, two soccer fields, four softball diamonds, administration centers and park land. It was constructed for the 2000 Sydney Olympics to host softball and baseball events. The facilities have since been used as a training and administrative base for the Greater Western Sydney Giants from 2010 to 2012, and for the Western Sydney Wanderers FC since 2012. Mount Pritchard
Mount Pritchard is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia 34 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government areas of the City of Fairfield and the City of Liverpool, and is part of the South-western Sydney region. History Mount Pritchard was originally home to the Cabrogal people who occupied much of the greater Fairfield area. In the early 19th century, the land was granted to a number of ex-convicts for farming. Later it was made part of the Male Orphan School Estate. In 1913, land west of Cabramatta Creek and Orange Grove Road previously owned by the Bull family was subdivided into smaller residential lots by a real estate property salesman named Hugh Pritchard, who named it the Cabramatta Park Estate. The Mounties Rugby League Football Club (sponsored by Mounties Group) is an Australian rugby league football club based in Mount Pritchard, New South Wales formed in 1927. They currently play in the NSW Cup, Ron Massey Cup and Sydney Shield. Mounties are the current second feeder club side for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Recent Seasons 2015 In 2015, Mounties defeated the Asquith Magpies to win the Ron Massey Cup 30–14. 2016 Mounties achieved a rare feet in 2016 by having all 3 grades NSW Cup, Ron Massey Cup and the Sydney Shield finish first in the regular season and win the minor premiership.
