Mount Kimbie
Mount Kimbie is an English electronic music duo consisting of Dominic Maker and Kai Campos. Formed in 2008, the duo expanded on the musical template of the UK dubstep scene, releasing early EPs '' Maybes'' and '' Sketch on Glass'' to critical praise the following year. Their debut album '' Crooks & Lovers'' in 2010 received further acclaim and was listed as one of the defining albums of the decade by '' DJ Mag''. The band signed with Warp Records in 2012, and released their second album '' Cold Spring Fault Less Youth'' the following year and third album '' Love What Survives'' in September 2017. Kai Campos
Kai Campos (born 4 February 1986) is a British electronic musician from St. Austell, Cornwall. He made his name as one half of Mount Kimbie alongside Dominic Maker and as a musician and DJ in the Greater London electronic music scene. He initially met Maker at Southbank uni where he was studying film. The duo began making music together in a home studio in Peckham. Love What Survives
''Love What Survives'' is the third studio album by British electronic music duo Mount Kimbie, released on Warp on 8 September 2017. Background Artwork for the album is by Frank Lebon, who also directed the official videos for "Marilyn" (featuring Micachu), "We Go Home Together" (featuring James Blake) and "Delta". They teased the album for several months before officially revealing the details, such as the title and release date. "Blue Train Lines" is the third single from the album, after "We Go Home Together" and "Marilyn". It features eleven songs. Bestival
Bestival was a four-day music festival held in the south of England. It had been held annually in the late summer since 2004 at Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight. In 2017 the festival relocated to the Lulworth Estate in Dorset. The event was organised by DJ and record producer Rob da Bank along with his wife Josie and was an offshoot of his Sunday Best record label and club nights. The initial Bestival attracted 10,000 people, growing to 50,000 in its final year, 2018. Bestival won 'Best Major Festival' at the 2015 UK Festival Awards, having won 'Best Medium-Sized Festival' in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009, 'Best Major Festival' in 2010, 2012 and in 2015, 'Fan's Favourite' in 2011 and 'Best Innovation' in 2005. Field Day is an outdoor music festival held every year on New Year's Day in Sydney at The Domain. It is a one-day music festival showcasing hip-hop, house, indie and electronic artists from all over the world. The event has been running since 2002 and has become a popular annual music event, attracting over 20,000 people. Glade Festival
Glade Festival was an electronic dance music festival, founded by Nick Ladd and Ans Guise, which originally started out as Glastonbury Festival's Glade Stage, which was established by Luke Piper and Mark Parsons who also became founding partners in Glade Festival itself. Exeter breakbeat promoter Biff Mitchell also played an important role in the event's development. The annual festival took place for the first time over four days in the summer of 2004, attracting 22,500 people by 2007. The festival's home for the first five years was the Wasing Estate, in Berkshire. In 2009 it was held in Winchester, and in 2011 and 2012 its location was at Houghton Hall in Norfolk. The Great Escape Festival
The Great Escape Festival is a three-day music festival held in Brighton and Hove, England every year in May. It is operated by MAMA Festivals and showcases new music from a variety of genres. The festival was founded in 2006 and roughly hosts 300 bands across 30 venues throughout the city. It has been likened to South by Southwest. There is also a music industry convention section to the event, which is attended by over 3000 delegates. The 2011-2014 conferences have been programmed by the team from music industry publication Complete Music Update, CMU. Peckham () is a district in southeast London, within the London Borough of Southwark. It is south-east of Charing Cross. At the 2001 Census the Peckham ward had a population of 14,720.
