Marcellin Champagnat
Marcellin Joseph Benedict Champagnat (20 May 17896 June 1840), also known as Saint Marcellin Champagnat, was born in Le Rosey, village of Marlhes, near St. Etienne (Loire), France. He was the founder of the Marist Brothers, a religious congregation of brothers in the Catholic Church devoted to Mary and dedicated to education. His feast day is 6 June, his death anniversary. Champagnat was ordained as a priest on 22 July 1816 and was part of a group led by Jean-Claude Colin, who founded the Society of Mary, a separate religious congregation to the Marist Brothers teaching order Champagnat founded later. Champagnat was born in the year of the storming of the Bastille, the start of the French Revolution. Campbelltown is a suburb located on the outskirts of the metropolitan area of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is located in Greater Western Sydney south-west of the Sydney central business district by road. Campbelltown is the administrative seat of the local government area of the City of Campbelltown. William Edward Murray
William Edward Murray Order of Australia, AM (16 February 192021 April 2013) was an Australian bishop of the Roman Catholic Church. Murray was born in Leichhardt and was ordained as a priest on 21 July 1945 in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney, Archdiocese of Sydney. He was appointed bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wollongong, Diocese of Wollongong on 5 June 1975 and consecrated on 21 July 1975. Murray remained with the diocese until his retirement on 12 April 1996. He was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia on 26 January 1988 for services to religion. Murray died on 21 April 2013 at a Sydney nursing home. He was 93. The Australian Mathematics Competition is a mathematics competition run by the Australian Maths Trust for students from year 3 up to year 12 in Australia, and their equivalent grades in other countries. Rosemeadow is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Rosemeadow is located 56 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Campbelltown and is part of the Macarthur region. History Rosemeadow owes its name to early settler Thomas Rose, who in 1818 bought a farm called Mount Gilead which covered parts of modern-day Rosemeadow and neighbouring Gilead. Rose was a baker and publican as well as a farmer, building a mill on his property and a couple of large dams which helped him and his neighbours survive the drought of 1829. The area remained farmland until the mid-1970s when Sydney's urban sprawl reached it and the suburb was officially named in 1976.
