Mount Blue High School
Mt. Blue High School is a public high school in Farmington, Maine, United States. The school includes grades 9–12 and is a part of the Mt. Blue Regional School District. It and enrolls students from the towns of Farmington, Weld, Temple, Wilton, Chesterville, New Vineyard, Industry, New Sharon, Starks, and Vienna. The school's athletic mascot is the cougar. In 2009 Mt. Blue changed from MSAD to Mt. Blue Regional School District (RSD), to start the new changes to the School. The state of Maine issued the school 63,568,833 dollars for the new school. The school was completely redone, and finished in 2013. The new school cover 226,000s square feet, 35.8% bigger than the old school. The school is three stories tall, and is the largest school in Franklin County. Farmington, Maine
Farmington is a town in and the county seat of Franklin County, Maine, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 7,592. Farmington is home to the University of Maine at Farmington, Nordica Memorial Auditorium, the Nordica Homestead, and the annual Farmington Fair. History The area was once territory of the Canibas tribe of Abenaki Indians. They had two camps located near Farmington Falls, with fields cleared for cultivation of maize and potatoes. Their fort's stockade enclosed about an acre at the center of what is today Farmington Falls village. A group from Topsham arrived in 1776 to explore the area and lay out a town, called Plantation No. 1 or Sandy River Plantation, but permanent settlement was delayed by the Revolutionary War. The cougar (''Puma concolor'') is a large Felidae, cat native to the Americas. Its Species distribution, range spans from the Canadian Yukon to the southern Andes in South America and is the most widespread of any large wild terrestrial mammal in the Western Hemisphere. Seth Wescott
Seth Wescott (born June 28, 1976) is an American snowboarder. He is a two-time Olympic champion in the snowboard cross. Life and career Wescott was born in Durham, North Carolina, and lives in Whistler, British Columbia. Growing up, Wescott went to Mount Blue regional school district in Farmington, Maine. His father Jim Wescott was the Track and Cross Country coach at Colby College. He began snowboarding at age 10, but had also grown up skiing. In 1989, after competing in both sports for a few years, he stopped skiing to focus mainly on snowboarding. Eric Reese Fearon is an American oncologist. He is the Emanuel N. Maisel Professor of Oncology at the University of Michigan and director of the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center. He is a four-time U.S. 20-km race walking champion (2003, 2006, 2007, and 2008), a 2007 U.S. 50-km race walking champion, and a 30-km record holder at the 2006 U.S. Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
