Moudi Najjar ( ar, مودي النجار; born 20 June 2000) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward, for Rockdale Ilinden in the National Premier Leagues NSW. Born in Australia, Najjar was called up to the Syria national team in 2023. Club career Western Sydney Wanderers At the age of 17, Najjar played his first game in his youth starting career. Najjar came on for Mohamed Adam while scoring his first goal for Western Sydney Wanderers Youth in an 8–0 win over Canberra United Youth. Najjar was part of the 2017-18 Y-League championship winning Western Sydney Wanderers Youth team. He replaced Fabian Monge in the 71st minute as they beat Melbourne City Youth 3–1 in the 2018 Y-League Grand Final on 3 February 2018. Western Sydney Wanderers Youth is the youth system, academy system of Western Sydney Wanderers FC, Western Sydney Wanderers Football Club based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The team competes in the National Youth League competition known as the Y-League and also the National Premier Leagues NSW Men's First Grade, Under 20s and Under 18s competitions. ''The World Game'' was an Australian football (soccer) television show broadcast on the SBS network, as well as a dedicated associated website. 2020–21 A-League
The 2020–21 A-League was the 44th season of national level soccer in Australia, and the 16th since the establishment of the A-League in 2004. The season was started on 28 December 2020 and concluded with the Grand Final on 27 June 2021. The start of the season was later than previous seasons as a result of both the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia and New Zealand, and as part of a gradual shift to move the competition from summer to winter. The 2019–20 A-League, also known as the 2019–20 Hyundai A-League for sponsorship reasons, was the 43rd season of national level soccer in Australia, and the 15th since the establishment of the A-League in 2004. The regular season commenced on 11 October 2019 and was scheduled to conclude on 26 April 2020, though was postponed to 19 August 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic caused Football Federation Australia (FFA) to suspend the season from late March to mid July. The season resumed on 17 July 2020, which meant the finals occurred in mid-August and the Grand Final was held on 30 August 2020. Western United Football Club is an Australian professional football club. The club is based in the western Melbourne suburb of Truganina, the club aims to represent western Victoria, incorporating the western suburbs of Melbourne; the regional cities of Ballarat, Bendigo, and Geelong; and regional and country towns in western Victoria. The Melbourne Rectangular Stadium, known as AAMI Park for sponsorship reasons, is an outdoor sports stadium on the site of Edwin Flack Field in the Sports and Entertainment Precinct in the Melbourne central business district. A-League Youth, formerly known as the National Youth League and Y-League, is an Australian national soccer youth developmental and under-21s league, founded by Football Federation Australia and now run by the Australian Professional Leagues. The current league was established as a successor to the previous competition of the National Youth League (1984–2004) and commenced in August 2008. The league runs in conjunction with the A-League Men as a developmental or reserve league.
