Motherwell Football Club Women is a Scottish women's football team based in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire. They are members of the Scottish Women's Premier League (SWPL) and currently compete in its top tier, SWPL1, since winning SWPL2 in 2018. For the 2020-21 season are playing their home matches at the Excelsior Stadium in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire. K-Park Training Academy
K-Park Training Academy is a training ground in the St Leonards area of East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire. It is located within the site of Calderglen Country Park. It is the home ground of Lowland Football League team East Kilbride. History K-Park was opened in May 2011 by the East Kilbride Community Trust (EKCT), who had previously drawn up plans that would give the large town a top-quality, UEFA-standard sports facility. Former Rangers and Scotland footballer Ally McCoist, who is from East Kilbride, officially opened the first phase of the new facility on 25 September 2011. K-Park is used as the home ground for the newly formed football club East Kilbride F.C., who were founded in 2010, one year before the facility's official opening. Cumbernauld (; gd, Comar nan Allt, meeting of the streams) is a large town in the historic county of Dunbartonshire and council area of North Lanarkshire, Scotland. It is the tenth most-populous locality in Scotland and the most populated town in North Lanarkshire, positioned in the centre of Scotland's Central Belt. Scottish Women's Football (SWF), formerly known as the Scottish Women’s Football Association (SWFA) between 1972 and 2001, is the governing body for women's association football in Scotland. 2018 Scottish Women's Premier League
The 2018 Scottish Women's Premier League season was the 17th season of the SWPL, the highest division of women's football in Scotland since 2002. The league was split into two divisions of eight teams each, SWPL 1 and SWPL 2. Glasgow City had won the 2017 SWPL1 title unbeaten, their eleventh consecutive championship. After a tight title-race with Hibernian, Glasgow City successfully retained the title, on the last matchday of the 2018 season. Northern Ireland Women's National Football Team
The Northern Ireland women's national football team represents Northern Ireland in international women's football. Although most national football teams represent a sovereign state, FIFA statutes permit Northern Ireland as a member of the United Kingdom's Home Nations to maintain its own national side that competes in all major tournaments, with the exception of the Women's Olympic Football Tournament. Megan Sneddon
Megan Burns (née Sneddon; born 9 September 1985) is a Scottish footballer who plays for Motherwell in the Scottish Women's Premier League. Sneddon made her senior Scotland debut aged 16 and amassed 130 appearances for the national team. Club career Sneddon spent five years with Kilmarnock, winning a treble in 2002 aged just 16. In July 2006, she joined Glasgow City. On 18 April 2010, she made her 100th appearance for the club in a 4–2 victory against Spartans. In February 2011, Sneddon was called into Scotland's Cyprus Cup squad, listed as a Liverpool player. She had decided to leave Glasgow City after growing dissatisfied with the club. Suzanne Mulvey (née Malone; born 4 October 1984) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a forward and represented Scotland at the senior international level. Club career Mulvey started her playing career with Hibernian after moving up from their youth teams. Edward Wolecki Black (born 13 March 1965) is a Scottish football player and manager. He was director of football at West of Scotland Football League club Gartcairn Juniors and has also previously managed Forfar West End, Lochee United, Montrose, Edusport Academy and Airdrieonians in men's football, and women's teams Glasgow City, Motherwell and Celtic.
