Most–Híd Politicians
Most–Híd 2023 (; ; from the Slovak language, Slovak and Hungarian language, Hungarian words for "bridge") is an inter-ethnic list of political parties in Slovakia, political party in Slovakia. Its programme calls for greater cooperation between the country's Hungarians in Slovakia, Hungarian minority and Slovak people, ethnic Slovak majority. It was one of four parties in the Fico's Third Cabinet, Fico III government coalition, but lost all its seats in the National Council of the Slovak Republic, National Council in the 2020 Slovak parliamentary election. The party was formed in June 2009 by dissidents from the Party of the Hungarian Community, Party of the Hungarian Coalition (SMK-MKP), which they accused of being too nationalism, nationalistic. László Sólymos
László Sólymos (born 16 November 1968 in Bratislava) is a Slovak politician of Hungarian ethnicity and a chairman of the Most–Híd, Most–Híd 2023 party who was the Minister of Environment (Slovakia), Minister of Environment of Slovakia from 23 March 2016 to 28 January 2020. He resigned after a drunken incident in a Bratislava restaurant in which he and his brother caused EUR 1,000 in damage, and was replaced by Árpád Érsek from the Most–Híd party, of which Sólymos was a chairman. European Parliament
The European Parliament (EP) is one of the two legislative bodies of the European Union and one of its seven institutions. 2023 Slovak Parliamentary Election
Early parliamentary elections were held in the Slovakia, Slovak Republic on 30 September 2023 to elect members of the National Council (Slovakia), National Council. Regular elections were scheduled to be held in 2024. However, on 15 December 2022 the Cabinet of Eduard Heger, government lost a no-confidence vote. Subsequently, the National Council amended the Constitution so that an early election could be held on 30 September 2023. This was the first snap election in the country since 2012 Slovak parliamentary election, 2012. The Blues – ES
The Blues – ES (MES; ), formerly called The Blues – European Slovakia (M; ) and Modrí, Most–Híd (MM; ), is a Slovak centre-right political party, registered in May 2023. The initiator of its creation is ex-prime minister Mikuláš Dzurinda, who founded it after he decided to leave the Blue Coalition (now Democrats) project. Around twenty people are involved in the founding team of the party, including Mikuláš Dzurinda's daughter, social anthropologist and international relations graduate Jana Šoková, entrepreneur Tomáš Halgaš or youth activist and Christian-democratic politician Milan Kabina. 2020 Slovak Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Slovakia on 29 February 2020 to elect all 150 members of the National Council. The populist Ordinary People and Independent Personalities–NOVA–Christian Union–Change from Below (OĽaNO–NOVA–KÚ–ZZ) party emerged as the largest parliamentary group, winning 53 seats. The ruling coalition comprising Direction – Social Democracy (Smer), the Slovak National Party (SNS), and Most–Híd, led by Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini of Smer, won only 38, with both the SNS and Most–Híd losing their parliamentary representation. Fico's Third Cabinet
Robert Fico's Third Cabinet was the government of Slovakia, headed by Prime Minister Robert Fico. Background It replaced Fico's Second Cabinet on 23 March 2016 following the 2016 parliamentary election, in which Fico's Direction – Social Democracy party () lost its parliamentary majority, and met for the first time on March 30. It consists of 15 members including the prime minister, and was originally composed of four parties: Smer–SD, the Slovak National Party, the Slovak-Hungarian Most–Híd party, and the Network party.
