Moshi Co-operative University
The Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU) is a public university in Moshi, Tanzania. History The history of this university dates to 5 January 1963 when the Co-operative College Moshi was established. The college's primary responsibility was training of human resources in the co-operative sector under the Ministry of Co-operatives and Community Development. The college was subsequently established through the Co-operative College Act No. 32 (Repealed) of 1964 as an autonomous institution with its own Governing Board. In 2004, the Co-operative College Moshi was transformed into Moshi University College of Co-operative and Business Studies (MUCCoBS) as the Constituent University College of Sokoine University of Agriculture through the Government Declaration Order No. 22 of 2004. Moshi is a municipality and the capital of Kilimanjaro Region, Kilimanjaro region in the north eastern Tanzania. As of 2017, the municipality has an estimated population of 201,150 and a population density of 3,409 persons per km2 . Al Noor Kassum (11 January 1924 – 18 November 2021) was a Tanzanian politician. Biography He was educated in Tanganyika and the United Kingdom, where he was called to the Bar at the Inns of Court in London, Al Noor Kassum was a prominent figure in Tanzanian politics and the Ismaili Muslim community after the country's independence. Paul Makonda
Paul Christian Makonda (born 15 February 1982) is the Former Regional Commissioner of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He gained popularity during a constitutional amendment referendum, where he was among a few members of a special parliamentary session, commissioned with the task of preparing a draft for a new Constitution.
