Chris Ius
Chris Ius (born January 14, 1954, in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian boxer, who represented his native country at two consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1972. In both tournaments he was eliminated in the third round. Boxing Club Chris was one of the many outstanding boxers that were part of the North West Eagles Boxing Club in North Vancouver. His primary coach was his uncle Elio Ius. Another key boxer at the club during the Ius boxing journey in the Seventies was Les Hamilton and Ian Douglas. Others were Dan Wright and David Ius. Ahmed Faras ( ar, أحمد فرس; born 7 December 1946) is a Moroccan former footballer who played as a striker for Chabab Mohammédia at club level and Morocco internationally. Faras was named African Footballer of the Year in 1975. In 2006, Faras was selected by CAF as one of the best 200 African football players of the last 50 years. Club career Faras played for Chabab Mohammédia between 1965 and 1982, winning the Moroccan League in 1981 and finishing as the league's top-scorer in 1969 and 1973. Mohamed Hamid Hazzaz (; 30 November 1945 – 13 January 2018), also known as Hamid El-Hazzaz, was a Moroccan football goalkeeper. Hazzaz spent his entire career playing for Maghreb de Fès. Club career Hazzaz joined the MAS Fez first team in 1962. He won the Moroccan league with the team three times, in 1965, 1979, and 1983, and the Throne Cup once in 1980. He retired in 1984. The 1972 Olympic football tournament, held in Munich, Augsburg, Ingolstadt, Nürnberg, Passau, and Regensburg, was played as part of the 1972 Summer Olympics. The tournament features 16 men's national teams from five continental confederations. The 16 teams are drawn into four groups of four and each group plays a round-robin tournament. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams advanced to the second group stage, where the second-placed teams in each group advanced to the bronze medal match while the first-placed teams advanced to the gold medal match held at Olympic Stadium on 10 September 1972.
