Moriusaq
Moriusaq (also ''Moriussaq'') is a closed settlementStatistics GreenlandPopulation in localities/ref> located in the Avannaata municipality in northern Greenland. It is located just east of the mouth of Granville Fjord, approximately to the northwest of the Pituffik Space Base and to the southwest of Qaanaaq. Hunting and fishing resources in the area are plentiful, particularly fish, narwhals, seal, and polar bears. Facilities Moriusaq used to offer its inhabitants direct TV and radio broadcasting, Internet access, private telephones, and a small power station for electricity, costing tax payers 2 million DKK (US$330,000) annually. Moriusaq had a small store, and the "recreation building" housed a school, a church, and even a small library. In 2007, the school closed and the last teacher left for Qaanaaq because there were no school-aged children living in the settlement.

Granville Fjord
Granville Fjord () is a fjord in Avannaata municipality, Northwest Greenland. Geography Granville Fjord is located in Steensby Land, in the stretch of coast between Cape York and Cape Alexander. It is located west of the Wolstenholme Fjord, ''Prostar Sailing Directions 2005 Greenland and Iceland Enroute,'' p. 77 close to the Moriusaq Inuit settlement. The fjord's mouth is located NW of Saunders Island, to the WNW of the Wolstenholme Fjord, between the points of Manussaq and Uvdlisautinguag. Cape Peary is the headland on the eastern side of the mouth. The fjord stretches for about in a roughly NE/SW direction and its shores are lined by ice-covered mountains. Qaanaaq
Qaanaaq (), formerly known as New Thule, is the main town in the northern part of the Avannaata municipality in northwestern Greenland. The town has a population of 646 as of 2020. The population was forcibly relocated from its former, traditional home, which was expropriated for the construction of a United States Air Force base (Thule Air Base, now Pituffik Space Base) in 1953. The inhabitants of Qaanaaq speak the local Inuktun language and many also speak Kalaallisut and Danish. Qaanaaq is one of the northernmost towns in the world. Within Greenland, it is the northernmost major town and the third northernmost public settlement, after nearby Qeqertat and Siorapaluk. Avannaata
Avannaata (, ) is a municipality of Greenland created on 1 January 2018 from the bulk of the former Qaasuitsup municipality. It encompasses an area of 522,700 km2 and has 10,726 inhabitants. Geography In the south, Avannaata is flanked by the Qeqertalik municipality. Pituffik Space Base
Pituffik Space Base ( ; ; ), formerly Thule Air Base (), is a United States Space Force base located on the northwest coast of Greenland in the Kingdom of Denmark under a defense agreement between Denmark and the United States. 150 United States guardians serve there, after the United States significantly reduced its presence from 6000 personnel during the Cold War. Denmark was a founding member of NATO in 1949, and the 1951 Greenland Defense Agreement allowed the United States to operate the base under a NATO framework, as long as both Denmark and the United States remain NATO members.
