Luigi Morgari
Luigi Morgari (1 January(?) 1857 in Turin – 1 January(?) 1935 in Turin) was an Italian painter, primarily of frescoes on religious themes. Biography He was born to a family of artists. His first studies were with his father Paolo Emilio, then he was a student of Enrico Gamba and Andrea Gastaldi at the Accademia Albertina. For many years, he worked with his father and uncle, Rodolfo, also a well-known painter, to create decorative works, mostly of a religious nature, which was the principal activity of the Morgari family. He was primarily a fresco painter. His numerous works may be found at the sanctuaries in Bussana and Rho, Alessandria Cathedral, the Church of the Archangel Michael in Olevano di Lomellina, the palazzo of the Quartana family in Genoa and the Church of Saint Syrus in Lomazzo. Oddino Morgari
Oddino Morgari (November 16, 1865 – November 24, 1944) was an Italian socialist journalist and politician. He was a member of the Chamber of Deputies from 1897 to 1929, for eight legislatures. Early life Initially a Mazzinian radical, he became a member of the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) in 1891, and was elected leader of its local section in Turin the following year. He began writing for 'La parola del Povero'', the supplement of '' Grido del Popolo'', the beginning of a career which brought him to the leadership of ''Avanti!'' in 1908, proving himself to be an advocate of incipient Social democracy (a reformist and pacifist). Paolo Emilio Morgari (Turin, 1815 – Turin, 1882) was an Italian painter, primarily of religious subjects. Biography Paolo Emilio was born to a family of painters. His father, Giuseppe Maria Morgari (1788-1847), was his first teacher. His brother Rodolfo Morgari was a prominent painter and professor of the Accademia Albertina in Turin. Rodolfo Morgari. Pietro Morgari (1852, Turin – 1885, London) was an Italian painter, primarily of portraits. Biography He studied at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts of Turin, where his father was a professor of ornamentation. At the academy, he was also mentored by Andrea Gastaldi and Enrico Gamba.
