Pietro Morgari
Pietro Morgari (1852, Turin – 1885, London) was an Italian painter, primarily of portraits. Biography He studied at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts of Turin, where his father was a professor of ornamentation. At the academy, he was also mentored by Andrea Gastaldi and Enrico Gamba. Pietro was born to a family of painters. Pietro's father, Rodolfo (1827 - 1909) was a prominent painter in Turin. Rodolfo's brother, and Pietro's uncle, Paolo Emilio Morgari (1815-1882) was also a painter. Rodolfo's father was Giuseppe Morgari (1788-1847). Paolo Emilio had three children Luigi (1857-1935) and Beatrice (1858-1936), both painters, and Oddino (1865-1944), a journalist and politician. In 1880 at the Accademia, he exhibited, ''Violazione di confini''; depicting a poignant encounter of a stallion and a mare with colt. Tommaso Juglaris
Tommaso Juglaris (c. 1844 – 16 January 1925) was an Italian painter active mostly in the United States, based in New England, during the late 19th and early decades of the 20th century. Biography Tommaso was born in Moncalieri and attended the Accademia Albertina from 1859 until 1862, working under Clementina Morgari Lomazzi. Working for a few years in various fresco projects, in 1871, he travelled to Paris to work under Thomas Couture. In 1880, he was offered a position with Louis Prang and Company, who utilized him as a designer of holiday cards. After six months, he sought other positions. By 1882 he was an instructor at the Boston Art Club. He later also taught at the Rhode Island School of Design. Among his pupils were Childe Hassam, A.W. Buhler and Sears Gallagher. He participated in major decorative projects including frescoes of the ''Muses'' (1886) on the dome of the Michigan State Capitol in Lansing.
