Podgorica (Cyrillic script, Cyrillic: Подгорица, ; Literal translation, lit. 'under the hill') is the Capital city, capital and List of cities and towns in Montenegro, largest city of Montenegro. The Zeta Plain ( cnr, Зетска равница, Zetska ravnica, ) is a fertile lowland in Montenegro. It stretches from Podgorica in the north to the Skadar Lake in the south. Morača Sports Centre ( Montenegrin: ''Sportski centar Morača'', Спортски центар Морача) is a multi-sports venue that is located in Podgorica, Montenegro. The venue is located in the new part of Podgorica, on the right bank of Morača River, after which it got its name. Construction of the sports complex began in 1978, and various sporting facilities are scattered within it, across a five hectare area. Besides being a sports venue, Morača Sports Centre also hosts various concerts and events. 2013 Montenegro Bus Crash
On June 23, 2013, 19 people, all Romanians, were killed and another 28 wounded in a bus crash near Podgorica in Montenegro. The bus, with registration plate number B 123 MMJ, skidded off the road, crashing into a ravine about 40 m below. A local child who was on the road at the time of the accident was also injured, but not seriously. The accident reportedly occurred around 5 to 6 pm 30 km north of Podgorica, the capital and largest city of Montenegro. There were about 50 people on board, all of them Romanian citizens. The accident occurred during a rainstorm on a narrow road in mountainous terrain. The exact cause of the accident is unknown. The bus was carrying around 48 passengers, two drivers and a tourist guide, and was headed towards the Adriatic Sea. Stefan Vukanović Nemanjić ( sr-cyr, Стефан Вукановић Немањић) was a Serbian prince, the son of Grand Prince Vukan Nemanjić (r. 1202-1204) and the nephew of Grand Prince and King Stefan the First-Crowned (r. 1196–1217;–1228).
