Moonalice (album)
''Moonalice'' is the first studio album by Moonalice, released on April 14, 2009. Four tracks were released on the band's web-site in 2007, with a fifth track being posted later. The album contains the following: a standard music CD; and an optimized audio DVD with the music in high resolution stereo 24/96 WAV, 256 KPS MP3, 256 KPS AAC, and lossless FLAC formats, as well as two music videos for songs not among the album's audio tracks, "Whiter Shade of Pale" and "Tell Me It's OK". It was released on the "A Minor Label" label. The album was produced using XOΔE (CODE), a high fidelity audio standard and optimization system created by producer Burnett. All the main band members are credited with providing bass guitar, and management, booking, legal, art/design, and photography personnel all have "(and Bass)" attached to their credits, part of an in-joke related to the band's fictitious origin story. Moonalice
Moonalice is an American rock band, formed from previous members of the Flying Other Brothers. The band has been touring since May 2007, and has come to the attention of music critics. The band is currently made up of ten musicians, and led by businessman Roger McNamee. Their eponymous debut album was recorded and released in 2009 and followed by a series of E.P.s named "Dave's Way," featuring mostly new material. In 2022, they joined Nettwerk Music Group and on April 20 released a new EP ''Full Moonalice Vol. 1''. The band has been consistently touring the United States and Canada since 2007 with several tour dates in 2009 featuring Jack Casady. John Molo joined the band in early 2009 and guitarist G. E. Smith left the band after playing his last show with them on December 31, 2009. Jay Blakesberg (born December 1, 1961) is an American, San Francisco-based, photographer and film maker. Biography His suburban youth was spent mostly in Clark, New Jersey, where he first discovered a passion for taking pictures. As a young teenager, Blakesberg began taking his father's Pentax camera to local concerts. The Grateful Dead performed at the Meadowlands in 1978 and was the first Dead show he photographed. A few years on the road with a group of people called Deadheads resulted in the beginning of a body of photographic work that continues to this day. The early 1980s found Blakesberg living in Olympia, Washington, where he attended the Evergreen State College. More intensive study and focus on photography and filmmaking led him to an internship doing corporate photography and video in the San Francisco Bay Area in the mid-1980s. Roger Love
Roger Love is an American vocal coach based in Los Angeles who has worked with many singers, actors and public speakers. Career Love took his first singing lessons when he was 13 years old. By 16 or 17 he studied vocal pedagogy in Seth Riggs's studio. He became a junior partner in the studio but soon founded his own studio and took some of Riggs's clients. T Bone Burnett
Joseph Henry "T Bone" Burnett III (born January 14, 1948) is an American record producer, guitarist and songwriter. He rose to fame as a guitarist in Bob Dylan's band during the 1970s. Jay Bellerose is an American drummer and percussionist known primarily for his session and live performance work. He has contributed to the work of many well-known artists. Biography Bellerose was born in Maine. A jazz enthusiast, he attended the Berklee College of Music where he worked with Paula Cole, Torsten de Winkel and others, and eventually went Los Angeles where he was part of Joe Henry's band. Bellerose has been influenced by blues and jazz, and his sound is in part derived from his vintage 1940s Slingerland Rolling Bomber kit. He often performs with shakers strapped to his ankles. John William "Jack" Casady (born April 13, 1944) is an American bass guitarist, best known as a member of Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna. Jefferson Airplane became the first successful exponent of the San Francisco Sound. Singles including " Somebody to Love" and "White Rabbit" charted in 1967 and 1968. Casady, along with the other members of Jefferson Airplane, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.
