Moolakadai Junction is an important road junction in Chennai, India. It is located at Moolakadai at the intersection of the Grand Northern Trunk Road (NH 5), Madhavaram High Road, Tondiarpet High Road, Kamaraj Road. Moolakadai is primarily a high traffic area in North Chennai due to the movement of Heavy vehicles (mainly containers) as most of those heavy vehicles have to pass through Moolakadai in order to reach the Chennai Port. Madhya Kailash Junction
The Madhya Kailash Junction is an important junction in the southern part of the city of Chennai. It is located at the beginning of the Rajiv Gandhi Salai (IT Expressway) which intersects the Sardar Patel Road in the form of "T". Madhya Kailash Interchange Four flyovers were planned to be completed by 2009, but these projects have remained unbuilt. A Trumpet interchange is planned for the junction. The interchange starts at the IT Expressway in front of Kasturba Nagar station and goes parallel to MRTS line and then turn about while splitting into two joining the Sardar Patel Road. Irumbuliyur Junction is one of the important junctions in the city of Chennai, India. It is located at Irumbuliyur near Tambaram in Chennai at the intersection of NH 45 with the Chennai Bypass. Maduravoyal Junction
Maduravoyal Junction is an important junction in Chennai. It is located to the west of Koyambedu Junction at the intersection of National Highway 4 (India) (NH4) and Chennai Bypass. Maduravoyal Grade Separator A Cloverleaf interchange was constructed at this junction similar to the one in Kathipara Junction by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) as part of the 4050-million Chennai Bypass project (Phase II). The construction of the flyover was completed in June 2010. The project was delayed because of the loose soil at the junction. It was rectified by erecting pillars. The flyover has four loops that coalesce in a clover-shaped structure. The loops are available for vehicles proceeding from Tambaram to Koyambedu, Poonamallee to Tambaram, Puzhal to Poonamallee, Koyambedu to Puzhal. Padi Junction
The Padi Lucas Junction is the intersection of NH 205 ( Madras-Tiruvallur High Road) and Inner Ring Road in the city of Chennai and is one of the most important junctions in the city. It is located in Anna Nagar north of Koyambedu Junction. An elevated rotary has been constructed at this junction as part of the NHDP by NHAI to ease the traffic congestion. It was built at a cost of 1,300 million and was opened for traffic on 20 February 2009. Grade separator The junction is used by hundreds of heavy vehicles and the road has a traffic density of about 200,000 passenger car units daily. As of 2014, more than 70,000 vehicles use the Padi flyover every day. To ease the congestion, the NHAI has constructed an elevated four-lane rotary at the junction. Koyambedu Junction
Koyambedu Junction, also called the Koyambedu Roundtana, is an important road junction in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is located north of the Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus at the junction of the Inner Ring Road and the Poonamallee High Road (NH4) in the Koyambedu area/locality. The junction is a part of the Golden Quadrilateral project taken up under the National Highways Development Project. Grade separator An elevated Parclo interchange is currently under construction by the National Highways Authority of India to decongest the junction which is heavily utilised by interstate buses. This design of parclo grade separator has three arms of the cloverleaf interchange.
