Hubertus Johannes "Huib" van Mook (30 May 1894 – 10 May 1965) was a Dutch administrator in the East Indies. During the Indonesian National Revolution, he served as the Acting Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies from 1942 to 1948.Kahin (2003), p. 23 Van Mook also had a son named Cornelius van Mook who studied marine engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Willem Gerrit "Wim" Mook (10 July 1932 – 24 January 2016) was a Dutch isotope physicist. Mook was born on 10 July 1932 in Groningen. He obtained his doctorate at the University of Groningen in 1968, with a dissertation titled: ''Geochemistry of the stable carbon and oxygen isotopes of natural waters in the Netherlands''. He was a lecturer of isotope physics at the same university between 1975 and 1979. Starting the next year he was professor of isotope physics, until his retirement in 1997. From 1986 he also served as professor at the VU University Amsterdam. Theodore Mook (born February 26, 1953, Mount Kisco, New York) is an American cellist who has played in more than 1,000 Broadway performances in New York City, produced records, played on motion picture soundtracks and, along with Ezra Sims, invented computer fonts used in microtonal music composition. He is best known for his interest and contributions to microtonality music. Mook began his music career in Boston, Massachusetts after graduating Boston University. He was a member of Dinosaur Annex Music Ensemble and played with other ensembles in the area before relocating to New York City in 1983. In New York, Mook performed cello in Broadway shows Little Women, Bombay Dreams, Taboo and Jekyll & Hyde. Robert E. Mook (; born December 3, 1979) is an American political strategist. He was the campaign manager for Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign. Mook is the vandal moniker used by a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania man Michael Monack and a Portland, Oregon man Marcus Edward Gunther. Michael Monack (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) Beginning Monack began as a tagger targeting the South Side and Shadyside neighborhoods, but after his tags were abated, he began placing his tags in hard to reach places, including tall bridges and highway overpasses. Monack was known to use the monikers "Mook" as well as "human hater". He was a part of a graffiti crew that called themselves the "Value Krew" or VK. The name means "knucklehead or idiot". He was an active graffiti writer in Pittsburgh from 1997 to early 2000s. He drew the ire of the then-Pittsburgh Mayor Thomas J. Mook (gaming)
A mob, short for mobile or mobile object, is a computer-controlled non-player character (NPC) in a video game such as an MMORPG or MUD. Depending on context, every and any such characters in a game may be considered to be a "mob", or usage of the term may be limited to hostile NPCs and/or NPCs vulnerable to attack. In most modern graphical games, "mob" may be used to specifically refer to generic monstrous NPCs that the player is expected to hunt and kill, excluding NPCs that engage in dialog, sell items, or NPCs which cannot be attacked. "Named mobs" are distinguished by having a proper name rather than being referred to by a general type ("a goblin", "a citizen", etc.).
