Montrell Teague
Montrell Teague (born January 2, 1991) is an American harness racing driver. He won the 2015 Dan Patch Rising Star Award at the age of 24 after winning the Little Brown Jug and Meadowlands Pace with 2015 Harness Horse of the Year Wiggle It Jiggleit. He is also noted for becoming the youngest driver to win a major stakes race at Hoosier Park in 2011 at the age of 20. Personal life Teague is a Delaware native, the son of well known horseman George Teague Jr., who owns Teague Stable and Farm in Harrington, Delaware. His father started to teach him to drive when he was about 10 years old. Racing career Teague races mainly at Harrington Raceway and Harrah's Philadelphia. In 2010, he won two $100,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeder Fund championships with No Bad Luck. Harrington Raceway & Casino
Harrington Raceway & Casino is a harness racing track and casino (a "racino") located on the fairgrounds of the Delaware State Fair, just south of Harrington, Delaware, south of Dover. The casino, formerly known as Midway Slots, has over 1,800 slot machines, table games, simulcasting, and sports betting. In addition, the venue promotes and hosts concerts and other similar entertainment revues. Multiple dining options including a buffet are available as well. The racino is owned and operated by Harrington Raceway, Inc., which is majority-owned by the Delaware State Fair, a non-profit organization. Mohawk Racetrack
Mohawk Racetrack (branded as Woodbine Mohawk Park) is a harness racing track in Campbellville, Ontario. It is owned by Woodbine Entertainment Group (formerly the Ontario Jockey Club) and is about 40 km southwest of the company's other racetrack, Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario. Woodbine Mohawk Park also has a large slot machine parlour with over 1,000 slot machines, which is operated by Great Canadian Gaming; some of the revenue from this operation is used to increase the horseracing purses. Harrah's Philadelphia Casino & Racetrack is a harness racing track and casino (a racino) on the Chester, Pennsylvania dock (maritime), waterfront. It is owned by Vici Properties and operated by Caesars Entertainment (2020), Caesars Entertainment. History The track was built on the site of the former Sun Shipbuilding & Drydock Co., Sun Shipbuilding campus. Its first harness racing season opened on September 10, 2006. Little Brown Jug (horse Racing)
The Little Brown Jug is a harness race for three-year-old pacing standardbred horses hosted by the Delaware County Agricultural Society since 1946 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds racetrack in Delaware, Ohio. The race takes place every year on the third Thursday after Labor Day. Along with the Hambletonian, a race for trotters, it is one of the two most coveted races for standardbreds. The event is named after the Little Brown Jug, a pacer, who won nine consecutive races and became a USTA Hall of Fame Immortal in 1975.
