Montmoreau-Saint-Cybard
Montmoreau-Saint-Cybard () is a former commune in the Charente department in southwestern France. On 1 January 2017, it was merged into the new commune Montmoreau. The town is overlooked by a castle that dates from the Middle Ages, and a chapel within its gardens is classified as a historic monument. While its walls date from the eleventh century, the castle was destroyed during the Hundred Years War. Today only a large gate remains of the original; the current castle was built in the 15th century in the form of a manor within the old walls. The Church of Saint-Denis, which was restored starting in the 19th century, dates from the 12th. Aignes-et-Puypéroux
Aignes-et-Puypéroux () is a former commune in the Charente department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of southwestern France. On 1 January 2017, it was merged into the new commune Montmoreau. Geography Location and access ''Aignes-et-Puypéroux'' is a commune located 25 kilometres due south of Angoulême, in the Highway D674 which passes through the heart of the commune north to south and on to Montmoreau-Saint-Cybard. The Highway D54 also runs through the heart of the commune from Perignac in the west to the D16 in the south-east. Both highways intersect at the village of Aignes-et-Puypéroux. The railway line from Paris-Austerlitz to Bordeaux-Saint-Jean passes through the southern part of the commune from north-east to south-west. The nearest train station is Montmoreau, some 10 km south of the commune, which is served by the TER running between Angoulême and Bordeaux. Saint-Eutrope
Saint-Eutrope () is a former commune in the Charente department in southwestern France. On 1 January 2017, it was merged into the new commune Montmoreau. Geography Saint-Eutrope is a common South Charente located 2.5 km northwest of Montmoreau and 26 km south of Angoulême. It is a small town on the surface (less than 3 km2), and lying territory (3.5 km long and 0.5 km wide). The village is 9 km southeast of Blanzac. The town is crossed by two county roads. The main one is the D 10, drive to Montmoreau Blanzac and Chateauneuf, which runs through the town staying on the ridge. The other is the D 74 which joins the road to Angoulême Libourne (D 674) by Saint-Cybard and part of the town. It is also the route of Nonac in North Western Canada.2.
