Monticello Bypass
Interstate 69 (I-69) is a proposed Interstate Highway that will pass through the southeastern part of the US state of Arkansas. The only section of Future I-69 that is currently open to traffic is the eastern leg of the Monticello Bypass. This section of the Monticello Bypass is currently two lanes and signed as U.S. Highway 278 Bypass (US 278 Byp.). Planned extension I-69 has been divided into a number of sections of independent utility (SIUs). SIU 12 (Arkansas portion) I-69 will enter Arkansas on the planned Charles W. Dean Bridge south of Arkansas City, then continue west to U.S. Highway 65 (US 65) near McGehee; US 278 will also be rerouted there from its present crossing with US 82 at the Greenville Bridge. Arkansas Highway 35
Arkansas Highway 35 is a northwest–southeast state highway in southeast Arkansas. The route runs from Dewey near the Mississippi River northwest to Arkansas Highway 5 in Benton. Route description The route begins in Dewey at Macon Lake Road near Island number 81 on the Mississippi River. AR 35 runs through bayous and fields in Chicot County, briefly entering Desha County for a junction with AR 159/ AR 208 in Halley. Returning to Chicot County, AR 35 intersects the four-lane divided US 65/ US 278 and US 165 east of Dermott, before entering the city. AR 35 serves Dermott as Speedway St before entering Drew County. Haynesville, Louisiana
Haynesville is a town in northern Claiborne Parish, Louisiana, United States, located just south of the Arkansas border. The population was 2,327 at the 2010 census. Haynesville is known as the "Gateway to North Louisiana" and the "Butterfly Capital of Louisiana". A two-lane expressway or two-lane freeway is an expressway or freeway with only one lane in each direction, and usually no median barrier. It may be built that way because of constraints, or may be intended for expansion once traffic volumes rise. The term super two is often used by roadgeeks for this type of road, but traffic engineers use that term for a high-quality surface road. Most of these roads are not tolled. Louann is a town in Ouachita County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 195 at the 2000 census, which fell to 164 in the 2010 census. It is part of the Camden Micropolitan Statistical Area. Ouachita River
The Ouachita River ( ) is a river that runs south and east through the U.S. states of Arkansas and Louisiana, joining the Tensas River to form the Black River near Jonesville, Louisiana. It is the 25th-longest river in the United States (by main stem). Course The Ouachita River begins in the Ouachita Mountains near Mena, Arkansas. It flows east into Lake Ouachita, a reservoir created by Blakely Mountain Dam. The North Fork and South Fork of the Ouachita flow into Lake Ouachita to join the main stream.
