Montbui
Caldes de Montbui in Catalan or Caldas de Montbui in Spanish, is a Spanish town and municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Vallès Oriental in Catalonia. It is situated in the upper valley of the Caldes river, and the highest point of the municipality is the peak of el Farell at 816 m. It lies about 30 km from Barcelona and it part of its metropolitan area. The hot springs have been exploited since Roman times, and the remnants of the Roman baths and other Roman buildings can still be seen. The source of ''la Font del Lleó'' ("Lion Springs") in the main square emerges at more than 70 °C (158 °F). The town conserves parts of its medieval fortifications and the ''Torre de la Presó'' (prison). The hermitage of ''la Mare de Déu del Remei'' dates from the sixteenth century, as does the church of Santa Maria with its baroque entrance. Manolo Hugué
Manuel Martinez Hugué, better known simply as Manolo (29 April 1872 – 17 November 1945), was a Catalan Spanish sculptor in the noucentisme movement. Although a friend of Pablo Picasso, his style was much closer to that of Aristide Maillol. Biography Manolo was born in Barcelona in 1872, the son of a general who soon abandoned his child to go fight in the Ten Years' War, and of a mother who died when Manolo was still young. He was friends with Pablo Picasso and a part of the circle at the 4 Gats, and lived in Paris from 1900 to 1909, where he was one of the people welcoming Picasso and introducing him to the artistic circles of the city. He was one of Picasso’s closest friends at the Bateau Lavoir, together with people like Guillaume Apollinaire and Max Jacob. Sant Feliu de Codines () is a municipality in the comarca of Vallès Oriental, Catalonia, Spain. It is located in the north-west corner of the comarca, on the border with comarca of Moianès to the north, and the comarca of Vallès Occidental to the west. History The name of Sant Feliu first appears in 1059, when the nobleman Mir Geribert and his wife Guisla were named Barons of Montbui by the Count of Barcelona Ramon Berenguer I the Old. Vallès Oriental () is a comarca (county) in Catalonia, Spain. Its capital is Granollers. Along with Vallès Occidental it forms the grand comarca of Vallès. This is a list of the 42 ''comarques'' (singular ''comarca'', , ) into which Catalonia is divided. A ''comarca'' is a group of municipalities, roughly equivalent to a county in the US or a district or council in the UK.
