Montaña Alavesa ( eu, Arabako Mendialdea), full Cuadrilla de Campezo-Montaña Alavesa, is a ''comarca'' of the province of Álava, Spain. It is located to the southeast of Álava and covers an area of 534.87 km² with a population of 3179 people (2010). The capital lies in Santa Cruz de Campezo. It includes the municipalities of Arraya-Maestu, Bernedo, Campezo, Lagrán, Peñacerrada and Valle de Arana as well as the lands of the Parzonería de Encía and the communities of Laño, Pipaón and Peñacerrada. It brings together a total of 47 locations. Population Montaña Alavesa is a mountainous region and sparsely populated. It has lost over half its population throughout the twentieth century, from the more than 8,000 people in 1900 to the current population. 35.7% of the working population is employed in agriculture. 32% is devoted to industrial activity. Azazeta (in Spanish ''Azáceta'') is a village in Álava, Basque Country, Spain. The village belongs to the municipality of Arraya-Maestu. The extensive municipality of Arraia-Maeztu belongs to the Álava mountain range. Formed by several valleys around the Berrón (Arraia Valley) and Musitu (Laminoria Valley) streams, this large town is surrounded by the Iturrieta and Vitoria-Gasteiz mountains. Azaceta is located in the Sierra de Guereñu, in a small plain surrounded by high mountains. The weather is cold, but healthy. There are abundant water sources. Oquina
Okina ( es, Oquina) is a village of the municipality of Bernedo, in the province of Álava in the Basque Country of Spain, situated about 15 kilometres from Vitoria-Gasteiz. Its population (2014) is 29. Location Okina is situated at an altitude of 794 metres in the northwest of the municipality, in a valley in the southeastern foothills of the Vitoria Hills. The River Ayuda (a tributary of the Zadorra) passes through Okina and flows towards Sáseta through the scenic Okina gorge, on the GR-38 long-distance path and much visited by walkers from Vitoria.
