Montana Highway 35
Montana Highway 35 (MT 35) is an approximately state highway in the west of the US state of Montana. It begins at U.S. Highway 93 in Polson in the Flathead Indian Reservation and ends at U.S. Highway 2 in Evergreen, the eastern portion of the city of Kalispell. As well as serving the townships along the eastern shore of Flathead Lake, it also serves as a ''de facto'' alternative route of US 93 between Polson and Kalispell. Route description MT 35 begins within the Flathead Indian Reservation, in the eastern outskirts of Polson, at an intersection with US 93. Initially, the highway heads east in a straight line. After a few miles, the road takes an abrupt turn northwards as it meets the foothills of the Mission Mountains. Passing Flathead Lake's East Bay, it then forms the eastern boundary of the community of Finley Point. Woods Bay is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lake County, Montana, United States. The population was 661 at the 2010 census, down from 748 at the 2000 census. Geography Woods Bay is located in northern Lake County at (48.006749, -114.063121), on the eastern shore of the northern end of Flathead Lake. It is bordered to the north by the community of Bigfork in Flathead County. Montana Highway 35 passes through the community, leading north into Bigfork and south to Polson, the Lake county seat. Flathead River

Montana Highway 82 (MT 82) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Montana connecting U.S. Highway 93 (US 93) north of Somers to MT 35 north of Bigfork. Route description MT 82 begins at the intersection with US 93 north of Somers. It proceeds east across mostly flat rural terrain before curving south and east, crossing the Flathead River and climbing a forested hill up to its eastern terminus at MT 35, just north of MT 83 and about north of Bigfork. MT 82 passes through rural and forest landscape, and wildlife crossings should be expected at all times. Montana Highway 83 (MT 83) is a north–south state highway in Flathead, Lake, and Missoula counties in Montana, United States, that connects Montana Highway 200 (MT 200) in Clearwater (east of Missoula) with Montana Highway 35 (MT 35) on north edge of Bigfork. Bigfork, MT
Bigfork is a census-designated place (CDP) in Flathead County, Montana, United States. It is within Montana's Rocky Mountains. The population was 4,270 at the 2010 census, up from 1,421 in 2000. History Some say the name "Bigfork" is derived from the Salish name for the area. However Bigfork is a fork where two rivers, the Flathead River and the Swan River, flow in to the Flathead Lake. There are reports of a homestead and orchard immediately north of Bigfork as early as 1885. Everit L. Sliter set out 500 apple, cherry, plum, and pear trees in 1892 on Flathead Lake's east shore. He became the first postmaster in 1901. In 1902, he platted the Bigfork townsite at the mouth of the Swan River. The east shore has since become a major cherry-growing area.
