Allan James Myers (born 17 October 1947) is an Australian barrister, academic, businessman, landowner and philanthropist, and the current Chancellor of the University of Melbourne. Biography Early life Allan Myers was born in 1947 in Hamilton, Victoria. He was raised in Dunkeld, Victoria, where his father, John Norman Myers, worked as a butcher following his service as a stoker in the Royal Australian Navy Reserve during World War II. Patrick Dodson
Patrick Lionel Djargun Dodson (born 29 January 1948) is an Australian politician representing Western Australia in the Australian Senate. He is a Yawuru elder from Broome, Western Australia. He has been chairman of the Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation, a Commissioner into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody, and a Roman Catholic priest. He was the winner of the 2008 Sydney Peace Prize and the 2009 John Curtin Medallist. His brother is Mick Dodson, also a national Indigenous Australian leader. On 2 March 2016, Dodson was announced as the replacement for Joe Bullock as a Labor Senator for Western Australia, following Bullock's resignation. Mick Dodson
Michael James Dodson (born 10 April 1950) is an Aboriginal Australian barrister, academic, and member of the Yawuru people in the Broome area of the southern Kimberley region of Western Australia. His brother is Pat Dodson, also a noted Aboriginal leader and a senator to Federal Parliament, representing Western Australia. Biography Following his parents' death, he boarded at Monivae College, Hamilton, Victoria. He graduated with degrees in Jurisprudence and Law from Monash University in 1974, as the first Indigenous person to graduate from law in Australia. Michael Delahunty
Michael "Mick" Delahunty (born 13 September 1952) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Collingwood in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Career Delahunty, who grew up in Murtoa, went to Monivae College and was originally zoned to Essendon, but made his way to Collingwood. He made 12 appearances for Collingwood in 1971, his first season, including a game against Essendon in which his brother Hugh Delahunty debuted, that was drawn, as well as a semi-final. A defender, Delahunty's 1972 season ended in round nine, when he broke his leg while playing Geelong at Victoria Park. He played the first eight rounds in 1973, then was suspended for four weeks after being found guilty of striking Fitzroy captain John Murphy with his forearm, and didn't return until round 15. Ronald Mulkearns
Ronald Austin Mulkearns (11 November 19303 April 2016) was the Bishop (Catholic Church)#Emeritus, bishop emeritus of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Ballarat in Ballarat, Australia, a diocese in the ecclesiastical province of Roman Catholic Ecclesiastical Province of Melbourne, Melbourne. He resigned as bishop on 30 May 1997. The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse found that Mulkearns was "derelict in his duty". Career Mulkearns was ordained as a priest in 1956. He held a doctorate in canon law, and was one of the founders of the Canon Law Society of Australia and New Zealand. Daramalan
Daramalan College is a Roman Catholic high school in Canberra, Australia, located in the suburb of Dickson. It encompasses Year 7 to Year 12, in a co-educational environment. Run by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, it has an emblem of a red eagle on a black shield. Its theme colours are red and black. History Daramalan College was founded in 1962 as an all-boys school, with girls enrolling in Years 11 and 12 from 1977, and in Year 7 onwards in 1996.
