''Monarch'' is a British costume drama involving Henry VIII. It was written and directed by John Walsh and released in 2000 at the Mill Valley Film Festival. It was re-released in 2014 after the film negative, thought lost, was rediscovered. Plot ''Monarch'' is part fact, part fiction and unfolds around one night in the life of a hated king susceptible to assassination, and paranoid with the thought of his own mortality. Monarchy were a British-based Australian electronic music duo consisting of Andrew Armstrong (also known as Andrew "Friendly" Kornweibel; producer, DJ) and Ra Black (also known as Ra Khahn; vocals, lyrics). Based in London, the duo was previously known as Milke. They have released four studio albums and two extended plays. History In November 2009, Monarchy was featured as "Band of the Day" on ''The Guardian'' website. Monarch is an American indie electro-pop band based in Los Angeles, California. The members of the band are Brennan Strawn, Brent Kutzle, Brian Willett and Joel Plotnik. The band have released their debut single "Stay" on March 28, 2015, and are set to announce the ''Apollo'' EP this spring as well as reveal live dates. History Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Monarch signed to Northern Records of Orange County where they released "The Grandeur that was Rome" in 2003 and "lowly" in 2007. The band later dissolved and reformed under the direction of Brennan in Seattle with the addition of Brent Kutzle of OneRepublic and other new members. Monarch is the name of three fictional DC Comics supervillains. The first Monarch is Hank Hall, formerly Hawk, who later renames himself Extant for the '' Zero Hour: Crisis in Time'' crossover event. The second Monarch is a quantum field duplicate of Nathaniel Adam, a U.S. Air Force Captain. The third Monarch is a mentally unstable Captain Atom.
