Momofuku (cookbook)
Momofuku () is a cookbook by the American chef David Chang, the ''New York Times'' food writer Peter Meehan, and Chris Ying, who was the editor-in-chief of the food quarterly ''Lucky Peach''. It was published in 2009. Contents In addition to describing unique Asian-American recipes centered on the ramen noodle, the book tells the story of launching Chang's popular New York City restaurants sharing the name Momofuku. The book is illustrated by the photo journalist Gabriele Stabile with images of the dishes and scenes of the chef and staff in the restaurants. The book has three chapters, modelled around each of Momofuku's New York City restaurants: Noodle Bar, Ssam Bar, and Ko, with recipes and stories based around each topic. When writing about the recipes, Chang credits the team of people who actually developed them. Chef
A chef is a trained professional cook and tradesman who is proficient in all aspects of food preparation, often focusing on a particular cuisine. The word "chef" is derived from the term ''chef de cuisine'' (), the director or head of a kitchen. Chefs can receive formal training from an institution, as well as by apprenticing with an experienced chef. David Chang ( Korean: ; born August 5, 1977) is an American restaurateur, author, podcaster, and television personality. He is the founder of the Momofuku restaurant group. In 2009, Momofuku Ko was awarded two Michelin stars, which the restaurant has retained each year since. He co-founded the influential food magazine Lucky Peach in 2011 which lasted for 25 quarterly volumes into 2017. In 2018, Chang created, produced, and starred in a Netflix original series called ''Ugly Delicious'', and through his Majordomo Media group, he has produced and/or starred in more television and podcasts. Peter Meehan (author)
Peter Meehan (often misspelled "Meechan") (28 February 1872 – 26 June 1915) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as a full-back. He won the English league championship in 1894–95 with Sunderland and the Scottish Football League championship with Celtic in 1895–96. He also played in the 1897 FA Cup Final for Everton and the 1900 FA Cup Final for Southampton, and made one appearance for Scotland in 1896. Football career Meehan was born in Broxburn, West Lothian, the son of a shale miner who had migrated from County Donegal in Ireland.
