Surfing at the 2024 Summer Olympics is scheduled to take place from 27 to 30 July in Teahupo'o Beach, Tahiti, French Polynesia, breaking the record for the farthest medal competition to stage outside the host city. A total of 48 surfers (24 for each gender) will compete in the shortboard events, augmenting the athlete size by eight more than those in Tokyo 2020. Venue The surfing competition will stage in Teahupo'o, Tahiti, the French overseas territory of Polynesia in the southern Pacific. Ballito is an affluent town located in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Ballito is about north of Durban. It forms part of the KwaDukuza Local Municipality, and iLembe District Municipality. The 2022 World Surf League is the 45th season of all iterations of the tour circuit for professional surfers. Billabong Pipe Masters will be the first round of the tour. For the second time, the season will end at Lower Trestles, in San Clemente, USA, with the top five seeded men and women from the season going head to head to determine the champion at the WSL Finals.
