Mojahed Khaziravi
Mojahed Khaziravi ( fa, مجاهد خذیراوی, born September 21, 1980) is an Iranian former football player who played for Esteghlal, Foolad, and Sanat Naft in Iran's football League. His career took a dramatic turnover in June 2002, when he got arrested by Iranian police for frequenting a brothel in Tehran. At the time, Khaziravi was becoming a significant football icon in Iran after significantly helping the national team in their failed qualification campaign for World Cup 2002. Like many of Iran's great football talents, Khaziravi is a native of Khuzestan, and like most players from this region of the country, he was known for his speed and dribbling skills. Abadan
Abadan ( fa, آبادان ''Ābādān'', ) is a city and capital of Abadan County, Khuzestan Province, which is located in the southwest of Iran. It lies on Abadan Island ( long, 3–19 km or 2–12 miles wide). The island is bounded in the west by the Arvand waterway and to the east by the Bahmanshir outlet of the Karun River (the Arvand Rood), from the Persian Gulf, near the Iran–Iraq border. Abadan is 140 km from the provincial capital city of Ahvaz. Persepolis Football Club ( fa, باشگاه فوتبال پرسپولیس, Bâšgâh-e Futbâl-e Perspolis) is an Iranian professional football club based in Tehran, that competes in the Persian Gulf Pro League. Persepolis was founded in 1963 by Ali Abdo and has been in the first division of Iranian football since 1968. Persepolis also had three teams in bowling, basketball and volleyball in its first years of establishment. The Azadegan League ( fa, ليگ آزادگان, ''Lig-e Âzâdegân''), also known as League 1 ( fa, لیگ یک, ''Lig-e Yek''), is the second highest division of professional football in Iran. The 2009–10 Persian Gulf Cup (also known as Iran Pro League) was the 27th season of Iran's Football League and ninth as Iran Pro League since its establishment in 2001. Esteghlal were the defending champions.
