Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi ( ur, ; born 28 October 1978) is a Pakistani media mogul who is the owner of City Media Group. He is serving as the incumbent caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab since 22 January 2023. Early life and Media career Naqvi was born on October 28, 1978 in the city of Lahore, of the Punjab province and did his primary education at Crescent Model School in Lahore. He graduated from Government College University (GCU) Lahore and moved the United States for further studies in media sciences. He reportedly stayed in coastal metropolis city of Miami, joined the multinational cable news CNN as a correspondent, and became the youngest Regional Head of South Asia after returning to Pakistan. He later founded City Media Group in 2009 with C42 as its first television channel which was later re-branded as City 42. Mohsin Naqvi
Mohsin Naqvi (10 May 1947 − 15 January 1996) was a Pakistani poet, known for his ghazals. Early life Naqvi was born on 10 May 1947 in Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab, British India (now in Pakistan). His father, Syed Chirag Hussain Shah, was a saddlemaker and food vendor. His parents named him Ghulam Abbas which he later changed to Ghulam Abbas Mohsin Naqvi. Naqvi had six siblings. He graduated from Government College Multan and earned his master's degree from the University of the Punjab, Lahore. Career He became known as the Poet of Ahl-e-bait. His poetry about the Karbla is recited all over Pakistan. He was an active member of Shia Muslim community, which is believed to be the reason behind his assassination. Sikandar Sultan Raja is a retired Pakistani civil servant who serves as the Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan, in office since January 2020. He belongs to the Pakistan Administrative Service and is batchmates with Rizwan Ahmed, Hussain Asghar, Fawad Hasan Fawad and Jawad Rafique Malik. Raja retired from civil service in BPS-22 grade.
