Mohammed Asab (born 10 September 1987) is an Indian shooter who competes in the double trap event. In the same event, he won the bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.and missed his 2nd commonwealth medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, where he secure 4th rank. medals. He also participated at the ISSF World Shooting Championships, Commonwealth Shooting Championships, World Cup, Asian Championship and won medals. He hold a world record at the ISSF World Cup in Acapulco, Mexico. He is one of the best shooter of India, who have nine times national champion on double trap event. The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) is the governing body of the Olympic shooting events in rifle, pistol and shotgun (clay target) disciplines, and of several non-Olympic shooting sport events. Double Trap
Double trap is a shotgun shooting sport, one of the ISSF shooting events. Participants use a shotgun to attempt to break a clay disk flung away from the shooter at high speed. The layout of double trap shooting is similar to that of trap shooting. The shooter stands 16 yards behind the house that releases the targets. Two targets are released simultaneously from the house. They follow set paths, usually 35 degrees to left and right of straightaway. The shooter can take one shot at each target. History In international Double Trap competitions, the course of fire is 75 doubles for both men and women. The men's event involves a 25-double final for the top six competitors. 2016 Asian Olympic Shooting Qualifying Tournament
The 2016 Asian Olympic Shooting Qualifying Tournament was held in New Delhi, India between January 27 and February 3. This tournament was the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, after the 2015 Asian Shooting Championships was stripped of its status after the IOC suspended Kuwait NOC. The National Rifle Association of India hosted this international competition at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi.
