Mohanad Ali
Mohanad Ali Kadhim Al-Shammari ( ar, مهند علي كاظم الشمري, born 20 June 2000), commonly known in Iraq as Mimi ( ar, ميمي), is an Iraqi professional footballer who plays as a forward for Qatari club Al-Sailiya, on loan from Al-Duhail, and the Iraq national team. He is known for his positioning, shooting, heading, close ball control and dribbling. Club career Youth career Mohanad became interested in football as a child and started playing for a local team in the Baghdad Al-Jadida district called ''Timsah Al-Amin''. He enrolled at the Ammo Baba Football School at the age of six without a trial after coaches had been impressed with the striker. Al-Karkh Sports Club ( ar, نادي الكرخ الرياضي) is an Iraqi sports club based in Karkh, Baghdad. Its professional football team plays in the Iraqi Premier League, the top tier of the Iraqi football. The club's home stadium is Al-Saher Ahmed Radhi Stadium. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). Hakeem Shaker ( ar, حكيم شاكر; born 7 January 1963 in Baghdad, Iraq), is a former Iraqi football player and manager. At some point between late 2012 and early 2013, Hakeem was the first and only Iraqi coach to manage three Iraqi national teams (Iraq senior team, Olympic team and Youth team) at the same time. Tournament For The Armed Forces
The Tournament for the Iraqi Armed Forces ( ar, بطولة دعم قوات المسلحة العراقية) was a Friendly match, friendly Association football, football competition in Iraq hosted by Al-Shaab Stadium on 21 March 2015 and contested between the four biggest clubs in Baghdad: Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, Al-Shorta SC, Al-Shorta, Al-Talaba SC, Al-Talaba and Al-Zawra'a SC, Al-Zawraa. The event was held in support of the Iraqi Armed Forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces and their fight against terrorism. Entry was free for spectators and the tournament consisted of three 30-minute matches, culminating in Al-Zawraa SC, Al-Zawraa winning the cup by beating Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya 5–4 in a penalty shootout. 2014–15 Al-Shorta SC Season
The 2014–15 season was Al Shorta's 41st season in the Iraqi Premier League, having featured in all 41 editions of the competition. Al Shorta participated in the Iraqi Premier League and the AFC Cup. They entered this season on the back of two successful seasons for the club. The 2012–13 season saw them win both the Baghdad Cup and the Iraqi Premier League and the 2013–14 season saw them top the Iraqi Premier League standings again. This season was not as successful as Al Shorta finished in third place in the league. They started the season brilliantly by storming to first place in Group 2 with 40 points from a possible 48, but they were knocked out at the elite stage after replacing Egyptian coach Mohamed Youssef with former manager Thair Jassam, finishing three points behind Naft Al Wasat (who reached the final and went on to win the league) in Group 1.
