Mohammad Fazeli
Mohammad Fazeli ( fa, محمد فاضلی; also Romanized as "Mohammad Fāzeli"; born 16 September 1975 in Arak, Iran) is an Iranian sociologist and former assistant professor at Shahid Beheshti University whose work focuses on social impact assessment, political sociology and sociology of science. He got fired from university in the "third wave of purging political professors". He is advisor to Iranian Minister of Energy. Arak, Iran
Arak ( fa, اراک, ''Arâk''; ) is the capital of Markazi Province, Iran. At the 2011 census, its population was 526,182, in 160,761 families. The city is nicknamed the "Industrial Capital of Iran". As a major industrial city, Arak hosts several industrial factories inside and within a few kilometers outside the city, including the factory of Machine Sazi Arak and the Iranian Aluminium Company. These factories produce nearly half of the needs of the country in steel, petrochemical, and locomotive industries. As an industrial city in a developing country, Arak suffers from air pollution. Etymology Arâk The term ''Arâk'' remains from a name given to the region since the medieval period. It derives from Arabic '' al-ʿIrāq'', meaning "root", itself derived possibly from Akkadian ''Uruk'' ( he, אֶרֶךְ, ''Erech''). Center for Strategic Studies ( fa, مرکز بررسیهای استراتژیک) is an Iranian think tank on strategy issues. It is the research arm of the Iranian President's office. The current head of organization is Mohammadsadegh Khayatian. History CSS was established in 1997 as a counterpart of Center for Strategic Research. Shahid Behesti University ( fa, دانشگاه شهید بهشتی , Dāneshgāh-e Shahid Beheshti) (formerly known as the National University of Iran) is a public research university in Tehran, Iran. The university offers many programs at Bachelor's, Master's and Ph.D. levels. History Shahid Behesti University was founded in 1959 by Ali Sheikholislam.
