Mohammad Barkatullah (producer)
Mohammad Barkatullah (1944 - 3 August 2020) was a Bangladeshi television personality, director and producer. He served as the General Manager of Bangladesh Television and was notable for directing and producing popular BTV drama serials including ''Kothao Keu Nei'', '' Shokal Shondha'', '' Dhakay Thaki'' and '' Nokkhotrer Raat''. He also served as the head of Channel One and Banglavision. Personal life Barkatullah was married to dance artiste Zeenat Barkatullah. Together they had two daughters, actor Bijori Barkatullah and Kajori Barkatullah. He died on 3 August 2020, at Green Life Medical College and Hospital in Dhaka after contracting COVID-19 during the COVID-19 pandemic in Bangladesh. Patuakhali
Patuakhali ( bn, পটুয়াখালী ''Potuakhali'') is a town and district headquarter of Patuakhali District located on the southern bank of Laukathi river in the division of Barisal in Bangladesh. It is the administrative headquarter of Patuakhali district and one of the oldest towns and municipalities in the country. Patuakhali municipality was established in 1892. The town covers an area of 27.03 km2 with a population of 65,000 according to 2011 census. Title There are different opinions about the origin of the name "Patuakhali". Banglavision ( bn, বাংলাভিশন) is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable television channel owned by Shamol Bangla Media Limited, commencing official broadcasts on 31 March 2006. Its name is a portmanteau of " bangla" and "television". Banglavision is based in Bir Uttam C.R. Dutta Road in Banglamotor, Dhaka. History Banglavision applied for a broadcasting license on 30 May 2004, which the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission granted them on 31 January 2005. On the same day, Boishakhi Television and Channel 1 have also received their licenses. Channel One ( bn, চ্যানেল ওয়ান) was a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable pay television channel. It applied for a broadcasting license on 5 January 2005, which the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission granted them on 31 January of that year. It started broadcasting on 24 January 2006 from its studio in Uday Tower, Gulshan, Dhaka. It was owned by One Entertainment Limited, a sister concern of One Group.
